LOSER

Yeah only brings home 13 million...he has so many financial problems. What a loser making excuses. He should learn to live within his means. He shouldn't have purchased a home he couldn't afford. 7,300 sq ft. Who was he housing anyway?

People who are judgmental and unsympathetic

"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." Or "Do not judge, or you too will be judged." Whatever mistakes Jose Canseco has made in his life is his own business. The world does not need people who are self-righteous and judgmental. You are part of the problem, not the solution. All of us make mistakes. Just because Canseco has more zeroes to his income doesn't change the fact that he's a human being who has had to learn life's lessons and suffer the consequences.

Sympathy? yeah right.

I agree with all of you. what a pathetic loser. I take home just over $4k a month and live very comfortable with a wife and two kids, one new car, a mortage, a project truck, and I still help my family. My point is that money management is the key.

My wife and I arent luxurious people but we live a good life.

I dont get how these millionaires lose things. I dont have any sympathy for this guy. He probably spent most pf his money on steroids anyways. That is my biggest pet peeve in life, pathetic losers who make up excuses that someone else is keeping them down. good luck Canseco, hope you find a nice cush apartment.

What a loser!

I think this is despicable behavior -- he's just passing on his problem to someone else. Maybe he thinks that the bank should deal with it but the bank's just going to pass on its losses through increased rates and charges for their customers. Not to mention the fact that this lowers home values in the neighborhood and contributes to the "foreclosure blight" found in neighborhoods throughout the country. Shame on Jose Canseco for failing to live within his means and live up to his responsibilities.

Hmmm...*tomas scratches his head...

Why can't I find even a tiny bit of sympathy for this poor man? Oh wait a minute! I know why...I guess it's because pretty much everyone I know manages to make their mortgage payments with only a tiny, tiny percentage of this man's income!!!

tomas of WI @ Jun 08, 2009 17:03:52 PM

Canseco lost his home!?!

He is just out of touch with the responsibilities that come with money.....how could he lose the house and then justify the lossy saying he can't live on $17M or $18M dollars?!? Sure he takes care of his whole family - and well he should on that kinda money! And acutally he doesn't take home $17M-$18M after taxes, since he should have atty fees, accountant fees, etc.....but still on any number of millions of dollars there is only one reason he failed to keep his house out of foreclosure or tax liens or whatever he means by "judgments"......the one reason is that he overspent....he lived above his means......that will getcha every time - no mater how little or how much money he has or had....he should take a page from Warren Buffet's book.....buy a reasonable house and car and be happy with it....stop trying to be the "rich guy"....too bad....I guess the next time he gets a fabulous house in Encino he will do what it takes to keep it! I wish him well....but certainly, I don't feel sorry for him!

Ferrari

I bought a Ferrari and can't pay it, my kids are crying. Give me your money to pay it so that my kids can be happy again. Poor Ferrari owner!

good thinking !!!

awesome JOSE ! walk away from that beast...the judgements/liens on the home were probably all FABRICATED by many GOLD-DIGGERS who were after your fame and fortune anyway...let them try to sell it, or let them go cry to the bank that its worth less than whats owed.......good thinking...let them all sink, you take yourself and family to the bahamas for vacation.

Jose Canseco

He needs to get a come back to reality! What person cant live on 17 million dollars.LOL These people are spoiled and so out of touch, I think all rich people should all be placed on a deserted island to appreciate the little things in life.

ML Meade of VA @ Feb 04, 2009 21:57:43 PM

UNBELIEVABLE

With all the trouble in the world, the Ap has found time to report about a guy struggling to live on 17-18 mil a year.

Can-Can if you can't live on that salary, you shouldn't be making that kind of money...Can we say STUPID much.

So now we are bailing-out rich ball players.

This country should be ashamed of themselves
