Wow! I have to agree with the nurse. I'd say retirees in a hospital would be better suited to part time office work or maybe the gift shop.

What about MLM?

The economy is really bad these days but unbeknownst to many, they can have financial stability thru MLM. Sadly, a lot of people think most MLMs are scams. If only they they'd open their eyes & try to understand MLM & its concepts better...I'm sure they'll be on their way to financial freedom.

I hope more people will be educated about MLMs and discover how rewarding it is. They just need to choose the best mlm company for them though.

re nursing jobs......

OMG, why would you recommend nursing for older people. i'm 50, i've been an RN for 25 yrs and let me tell you....nursing at any level is bust-ass work. i can't imagine someone "older" going into nursing. do you want to kill them earlier than normal?? Us nurses have heart problems, arthritis, bad backs and bad bladders. all from stress and working 12 hr shifts on hallways a mile long. taking care of 10-12 patients at a time, having to care for people who are morbidly obese - yes, this means lifting them, turning them, and lastly, going to bed ourselves - never sleeping because your overwhelmed with what you didn't get done on your shift. nursing can be rewarding, but not everyday. it's mostly exhausing - as any nurse if this isn't the truth..........mlancaster RN

If theses companies really want workers why do they always want money to get them.

At one time I signed up for google and paid for a CD only to find out that after signing up I had a number of different companies charging for service that did not order on my credit card. I had to fight to get them off, they were companies that monitor your credit.

Please make sure to check your credit cards if you sign up with any of these companies.

I am retired and would like to have a at home job in collections I have had experience but scared to apply for anything on line.

Jobs for seniors

Why didn't US News recommend more employment opportunities which requires some physical effort. In numerous recent articles in US News and other daily and weekly publications, obesity has been one of the dominant issues, seniors included.

If seniors and others engage in work which requires a certain amount of physical effort (exercise), the rewards would be greater than just monetary.
