why medicare is a disaster.

Since 1972 Congress has played the casino gambit with the american taxpayer. The extra money( that left over) goes to the general fund to pay bills. The taxpayer has been given a marker with the promise to be paid later. Now Congress is tearing up those markers and destroying the dreams of millions while lining their own pockets with full benefits after only (8) eight years of congressional duty. A soldiers must do 20 years under harsh conditions and fight for his/her benefits for themselves and/or their families. Something is greatly amiss here.

GPO/WEP

After 26 years of fruitless efforts contacting our senators and representitives. I personally think of them as "Parasites", but that is another story. Try and try and try again, this seems foolish to me to keep trying over and with the same result.

Why not try something different. Something that will get the attention of the media. Congress does not like bad publicity, the media feeds on bad publicity, they love it! Marches , sit-ins, demonstrations etc, will get a lot more attention. E-mails and letters to your leaders will sometimes get you a "Feel good letter" from your congressman. There are some that will cosponsor HR 235, but that is as far as it goes. It will never get to the floor for a vote. The lobbyist have enjoyed this GPO/WEP for over twenty years. Whats in it for congress to repeal this unfair law? Do you think they want to admitt they were wrong enacting this fiasco? Do you think they want to pay back what was withheld for 25 years, with interest?
