7 Ways the Stimulus Plan Will Help Retirees

Retirement

Yes, What about us retired people, 82 and 83, living on fixed incomes and everything still going up? Gas is ridiculous! We still have to buy medicines too. We should not have to pay any taxes after 80 years old. Will the stimulus help us???

Lost Wages

I started out full time last year but this year my hours have been cut.

Tax cuts

All I hear is help for "working Americans". What about those of us who worked all our lives, saved and have now seen our retirement $$ lost and our tax base still at 15%. A little old to find new work at 68 years old. Property taxes on the rise, groceries, gas etc. Where is the "Relief" for us retired folks that "did the right thing all along"?

Retirment

During the campaign I kepy hearing that under the Obama plan, if you're over 65 and make less than $65K a year you wouldn't pay any federal income tax. What happened to that idea???? I guess I'm selfish, but I happen to be one who allowed this idea to influence my vote.
