Should California consider a fee on corn fuel ethanol use?

You mean like the auto companies, who never woke up to the idea that they might make more money by building efficient vehicles?

Businesses ARE waking up to the fact that efficiency and conservation are overall economic win wins.

Energy is expensive.

If you think business concerns are more important than the future of civilization and the ecosystems that our lives of our species are completely dependent on, how did such an insane notion start?

Cap and trade by themselves will not do the job. They must be coupled with the more important task of getting started building large scale renewable energy.

The only thing risky would be if we listened to the chamber of commerce and the fossil fuel industry and did nothing.
