Cloned food and GMOs

When the FDA finds food products to be "safe," their data come from tests run by the food industry or company itself. Hardly independent or unbiased. No long term human studies have ever been carried out on GMO foods, by anyone. All this is a grand experiment carried out on an unwilling or unknowing public. The presumption of safety in the absence of data is no way to create food policy.

Whats the big deal. Cloning is just a speedup of selective breeding for characteristics deemed to be benefical for improved qualities of food producing plants and animals.
