Gifts to grandchildren

My wife and I cover the fees for our 5 grandchildren for school sports, music and dance lessons, etc. I can remember not being able to participate as a child due to lack of money,(too many mouths to feed, and too many dollars over the bar). We also let the grand kids earn money by doing chores when they visit, and try to instill the wisdom of saving a percentage of whatever they earn, for long term as well as short term goals.

The older ones have already figured out the Grandma & Grandpa would not be able to pay for these things if they hadn't practiced what they preach.
