Thrift Savings Plan

The TSP is a great 401(k)-like retirement plan. I have always encouraged my dad to keep his retirement assets in the TSP plan, even after he attained age 70 1/2. I agree with Senator Kohl's opinion that "it is of the utmost importance that consumers have complete, clear and concise information on all the terms of such products before making any decisions" before rolling the TSP to an IRA. I think Fidelity's decision to continue with its rollover ad campaign is fine especially if they are committed to "doing the right thing" for these potential TSP customers.

IRA Rollover

Lower / Lowest fees are great but not when cuopled with lowest return.
