Keeping Older Workers on the Job

Back to blog

More experienced workers are not wanted as they are too expensive.

It's recently been made clear to me that older workers (10 - 20 years+ experience) are no longer eligible for hire in aerospace/defense as workers with 2 to 5 years of experience seem to be preferred.

If companies want a transfer of knowledge to a younger workforce they must be willing to pay the wages that more experienced workers need and deserve.

The dearth of young people interested in the industry is due to its 20+ year history of bad management and unstable funding.
