Some other recommended up-and-coming service providers
Thank you for including TeachStreet in this article -- we really appreciate it. We launched in April 2008 in Seattle, and expanded to Portland in August and the Bay Area in November -- we're looking forward to more expansion in 2009!
Two other providers that you should probably check out:
* http://www.fullslate.com - is similar to HourTown, listed above, and provides all of their appointment and scheduling services in the cloud/SAAS
* http://www.helphive.com - is not yet launched, but we've heard that they'll be more of a people-powered services directory (benefiting users with opinions from friends and neighbors)
