Bossophobia: How to Overcome Fear of Your Boss

Back to blog

You may be right - you may be wrong!

I had one boss who loved to get into people's faces. We nicknamed him "Psycho-Joe" (Joe was his real name). He would at times talk in detail how long it would take him to "kill" you in how many seconds. He would also say he was a vet (later we found out he wasn't). He would also yell in your face!

Looking back I wished that I would tell him that if he got in my face one more time that I would consider it a personal threat to my well being and report him (or take him down). Hey, he talked often about killing people that I don't think that any cop would question me in regards to my defending myself if I state that I felt that my life was being threatened!
