You nailed the issue. It is not so much about having rogues in the workplace--it is having a leader who can fight the rogue's battles for him while keeping everyone else on track, however mundane. It is obviously a delicate balance for a leader. Most fail.

Corporations want yes men. My own experience was as a computer programmer who would come into a corporation to clean up a mess. And when I was finished would be fired. As the person who created the mess was my boss. Corporations are social clubs and if you want to stay you need to be part of the club. Rogues simply don't belong. It was not until just before I retired that I became free of this rat race and today do medical research on AIDS. I found something I was good at that was not connected to a corporation and brainless management.

It was both business and government that have created the present economic crash and where was the rogue that was needed to stop this. If there was one that person was fired.

Oh! My kingdom for a rogue! Only we will not find either an honest article or the truth as both have been killed off.
