Sabotage Yourself, Who me? Never! Take a look

That's great, love it. The just before I had it I lost it. I mean "I LOST IT."

"Your were right there you had it what happened?" and the response "Well you know." No! I don't know tell me. How about, "Your worked so hard to get there, and you blew it what happened?" the response, "Well maybe I wasn't cut out for the job." No, you were'nt, but you had molded yourself to it and then when the clay was formed you collapsed it." How about this one, Finally made it all throught school, did my intern and then decied I just wanted a debt to pay for the next thiry five years because I never really wanted to be a Doctor anyways.

or Went to the interview, answered all the right questions, looks promising, then you ask the question, "What is your company about?"

A lot of good points

Especially with the amount of layoffs/restructuring, people are taking on even more projects and employees are just experiencing burnout. Sometimes people have "bright ideas", and now when someone comes to me with a request, I take the time to listen & write down their request as they talk with me.

If you explore their request together, they figure out that it actually takes more than 5 or 10 minutes to complete their request. Sometimes they figure out that they can get the information elsewhere or the request is just not feasible. If they simply must have to have the project completed, they give you a reasonable due date when they understand what is involved to complete the project.

Writing down someone's request while they talking with you gives them time to really think through it and understand that your time is valuable.
