Cover Letter

Yes of course if your cover letter clearly highlights that you have read the job description and know at least something unique about the organisation, it is a good step in the right direction towards getting a job interview.

I believe it takes only 5 to 10 minutes to write a simple cover letter. So I never skip writing a cover letter for a job position I really want.

Guess we're reading you lots in Tennessee!

...and no wonder, because we're just one of many states suffering a severe job shortage at the moment. Which is why information like this (and in your new book) is especially timely.

You're exactly right, too -- job seekers need to focus on what the employer needs, and how we can solve her/his PROBLEM. Especially important in this economy... and especially difficult to remember, sometimes, when it's so easy to over-focus on our OWN problem (e.g., being unemployed!)

You don't say!

You are right.

You go dude!
