75 Percent of My Office Is Under 28

Well you know the saying, You Can't Teach an Old Dog new Tricks

Younger people are more energetic and and go getters and there is nothing wrong with hiring more younger than older. I compliment Mr Hoffman for hiring the younger generation and giving us a chance, and not for hiring a bunch of older farts that don't care about how much they work or how good they do their job. I am a youngen and I do darn good in my job, for my talent, abilities and the good person I am. I go out of my way to get things done and usually find myself helping out the older folks to get more done. Just one womans opinion. Oh, and I can look darn good doing it too. Never underestimate the power of the younger generation.

Little Orange Dog?

I have one of those little orange dogs and I just love him, and I don't even work for the company!

Sharon of MI @ Sep 10, 2008 21:35:14 PM

I don't think I'd work for any company JUST BECAUSE they give out little orange dogs. I would look for more with my jobs like the basics: pay, atmosphere, commute. Not little stuffed animals. But that's just me.

I hav heard that the only reason people work there is because of the orange dogs that they hand out.

Oh Sorry

You are right, I misunderstood your question. We have the standard boiler plate language in our employment literature, yes.

glh of MN @ Sep 10, 2008 13:40:49 PM

You're telling me, glh, that your company does not mention the employment at will concept in your handbook or employee literature or application? Have YOU read them? Or did you countermand your lawyers?

of @ Sep 10, 2008 11:33:08 AM

Nope

no such statement.

glh of MN @ Sep 09, 2008 19:49:52 PM

Sounds like Hoffman is getting benefit from his twenty-somethings and doesn't fire them for "any reason or no reason".

But I bet he made every one of them sign the statement agreeing to that. I wonder if they read it.
