How to Write Performance Appraisals

Performance Appraisal

This helps a lot. It is really ideal that the key result areas and the key performance indicator is being agreed upon by the superiors and the staff so there will be a clear criteria in evaluating.

But how about the behavioral appraisal? It cant be ensured that there are no personal biases. How do we deal about that?

APPRASAIL THOUGHTS

I THINK IT IS A GOOD IDEA, BECAUSE IT CAN IMPROVE EMPLOYEES PERFORMANCE.

Performance apprisal

I agree to some extend with others. The self apprisal matter should be reconciled with the superior's cpmment to get a though touch about the actual jobe done. This will mend the employees to act upon realities.

I agree completely with comment number one

I have never ever seen an appraisal system work. First, to be really effective, one has to be trained and trained. Few companies have the resources to train it properly and consistently. Few managers can really do it well, leaving both the manager and the employee at odds and worse, un motivated to improve.

The best appraisal system is daily.

This is a soapbox issue for me.But i am awaiting your next post with ears wide open even though my mind is nearly shut.

Additional advice

1) Start a small business, if you can, and avoid appraisals for life. They are a corporate abomination to mankind and wholly ridiculous on both sides.

2) If you write your own, just make it a list of subjects and actions. All the subjects and all the actions. BE CAREFUL with the "goals for next year trap". It IS a trap.
