10 Ways You'll Erode Trust

Back to blog

Play Along....

...sorry but I think we have gone too far in the "imorrality hole" to be ever come out of it. We have had a generation or two of "me first" and thus have now left a generation of our offspring that will alway only look after itself, regarless to how they do it.

I may sound pessimistic but truly that is how I feel each day as I deal with people who are in trustee positions.

Are you trustworthy?

The Bible clealy states the golden rule which is do unto others as you would have them do unto you! I believe that we are to treat people the way that we want to be treated! If we are going to be misleading to people that is something that "GOD" is not pleased with! We are to live as Christians each and everyday!

Telling Lies

The Bible clearly states that we are to follow the Ten c

Commandments. One of the commandments is that we should not lie. I know that none of us are perfect but, we must be careful about what we say and what we do!

Ours is based upon lies and deception....wanna help change it?

Never give up on yourself or the power to change others.

Thanks for the tips

I can relate to these 10 tips. I am really amazed how the workplace and the marketplace is a place of fear and people who are paralyzed by fear. I am a child of the most high god. I say FEAR NOT! I believe that you need to walk in the anoiting and the power of the holy spirit. We need to bring hope and joy, love, kindness, and all of the gifts of the spirit to the marketplace to give others hope. I am so glad to have had the opportunity to share love and hope to those whose are crying out. I am really happy to have some time to regroup and focus on the next assignment to come.

Integrity of School Administrators

In the last eleven years I have worked with four school district supervisors, and w/o they were all more than willing to deceive in order to gain more funding, cut costs, or better test scores. With today's economic crisis I am fearful of what our leaders will be willing to do. If we are the models for our children, how will they become men and women of integrity.

A recent betrayal

I can relate to your situation! There are many females who for one reason or another feel threatened even by your mere presence. FEAR NOT! God gives out the gifts and talent. I am a child of the most high. If anyone has a problem with that, then I am sure they will be judged for their evil and wickedness towards the kinder, gracious, innocent souls when Judgement Day comes! They are just demons doing Satan's work. I finally was blessed and left that job. Guess what? Every day is a holiday for me! And the witches are still being the old, ugly witches that they want to be!!! HAHAHAHAHA ~ GOD IS GREATER! I thank our Lord for all my blessings and miracles!

Character or consequences

What a great list to live by! As a teacher, I find many of these vacant from a majority of teens today. I fear where our great country is headed when the future law makers and professionals are coming from several generations who believe in situational ethics, that guilt may be assessed only when caught, and that character doesn’t matter.

The recent huge bailout of corporate America is a sign that ethical behavior via lack of character has been on the decline for some time. I feel your list should be the “ten commandments of character” posted on the wall in the halls of every institution of learning and/or corporation or business entity in America. And as a people, perhaps we should demand adherence or suffer a harsh consequence.

YOU ARE 100% CORRECT...

Just wanted to say that you list describes me 100%! Unfortunately, I am hit all numbers 1 through 10, and as a result, I have a team that doesn't trust me and now I am forced to demote myself into a lower position, thus lower pay. I have to admit that I was not ready for my role, and that managing people has been a challenge. I work in the beverage sales industry as a District Manager, who leads a team of sales reps. Granted, I am relatively young compared to the rest of my direct reports. I am 30, while the rest of my team is between 40-50. I do not blame age, but I think it is a factor. I stick out as a sore thumb, and naturally, it is easy to not take direction from a new, unexperienced manager. I am still trying to figure out how much was exactly on my plate and whether or not I could have changed. But you are right. Once you lose trust, it is hard to near impossible to regain it. I wish there could be a management class or a skill assessment prior to become leader. People think only leaders make money, but I beg to differ. I think in sales, if you are a person that relates to products and promotion, rather than directing people, you can probably still be very successful. I think it also comes down to personality and whether or not you like being asked questions or ask questions. Does that make sense. Thanks for the list. I will be sure to keep it next to me and read it when I decide to be a manager again.
