How Obama Got Hired

Thank you

Thank you for the kind words you said about Barack Obama. I have to ask you, was this hard to say, being a "baby boomer"?

The points are very well taken, whether the actual process is very good. The important factors in getting a job in a competitive situation apply when two good candidates are vying for an election, and the ideas of likability, persistence and belief in your capabilities will stand any job candidate in good stead as they did Obama.

Uh, the presidency isn't clerking at Walmart

Some appointed, not elected nor hired electors elect the president.

They do so because the people voted for the president and they are carrying out the voters mandate.

How they do it varies by state to state.

It is a ridiculous system, but seems to work almost and sometimes.

Because it is a national election, it would seem to make sense to standardize how this process is carried out.

But until somebody, anybody can figure a way to accomplish this common sense method of electing the president, we will just bumble along with the system that makes no sense.
