There are far too many people stuck in careers that were unplanned. Trouble is, people get stuck and it is hard to get yourself unstuck from a bad choice. I am not sure talking with practitioners gets you all the way there, either. Sometimes it just takes time...and then, outside influences...your co workers at that specific company, how much money your developing family requires...all of it puts stress on you to keep the job, no matter how ill the fit.
