What a Scathing Exit Review Can Do

Indian Casino injustice.

I left my position as CEO in Jan, 08. The tribe gave me a 3 months severance and after I left they said they felt I had done some things that they thought were wrong while in my position. They went as far as contacting the state dept of justice claiming that I had misappropriated funds. It has been 15 months and I have been chosen for jobs and later told that I failed the background. The hiring agencies claim that the tribal gaming commission told them I am under investigation for theft and misstating my education. Neither is true, and yet they continue to make these claims. What can I do to move on with my life and stop the tribe from giving these statements without facts? In my defense, I have supplied all of my education certificates and it should be noted I was hired, passed the background, licensed, worked 2 years, refinanced thier debt 300M, got re-licensed and got re-signed to a new 5 year contract after my original 3 year deal.

I am being blackballed

I am a good worker and feel that I always get caught up in the wrong employment. The last boss that I had constantly tried to degrade me every chance that she could. Sometimes she would make rude comments in regards to her husband and I, as though I was trying/may be the type to hit on her husband. I tried everything to please her: showing her that i was self- sufficient, prompt, organized, and a teamplayer. I end up quiting because I refused to hear anymore rude comments about me and how I look, per se. I cannot help it if some people think that I may be pretty. But i tried to show her that there was so much more to me. Every since that I quit, I have not been able to find employment for three years. I graduated with honors from college.

Second that.

I think one should keep the resume all as positive as possible. My advice is to handle issues in the interview if you are lucky enough to get one.

One guy asked me to review his resume at a conference one time, he was over the top frustrated at companies NOT wanting to even interview him. The first underlined and boldfaced item, under Achievements was WHISTLEBLOWER. In one beautifully written sentence he proceeded to say what he had done, why it was important etc etc etc. Still, it was radioactive so no interview.

If you have to ask the question, take it off might be the easiest move.
