Great Advice on Questions to Ask

I'm starting my new job tomorrow and I found your tips very useful! Thanks!!

how about asking for a few days off?

Let's say you just got accept at a job, but long before you were looking for one you've already planned a family vacation that can't be cancelled anymore. Obviously, the new worker wouldn't know how to approach this subject because of fear that her employer will have a bad impression of her, or that she'll get fired.. so how should it be done?

Eat Lunch

Move this up high on the list. People who don't take breaks don't work out in the long run.

Working Lunch

Used to do working lunches, went against the tide, but helped me a great deal when i was working for 6 years in New Jersey (twice promoted); found out one day my boss locks his room to take a late lunch everyday!!

Great points

I totally agree with #9, I try to take notes on the procedures I'll be likely to use most, or just jotting down info. I review it regularly once, as you say, you have the framework to plug it into.

And I know what you mean about the lunch! Its always sort of awkward like you feel you need to wait until you're TOLD to go to lunch
