"Be the Lead dog"

My husband was given this one by his grandfather. Otherwise you're just sniffing the ass' of the dogs in front of you.

Thank You

Begin the day with thankfulness and keep it flowing throughout...

I know the difference in a day when I wake up a thankful for all I do have and I say thank you very sincerely to others throughout my day. It changes the aspect of everything.

Different lines

I'm one of those people who isn't the same every day. Some days I'm more hyper than others. Some days, more gloomy. Some days in the zone. Some, sharp and alert. Some, slow and dull. All of these are on a sliding scale, of course.

In any case, my inner encouragement changes daily. Sometimes more often. I find myself locking onto something similar to what you have above - but you've helped me define it for myself more clearly.

Good stuff!

Worth thinking about

There is a lot (lot) to be said for choosing carefully what you say when you "Talk" to yourself. A one-line motivator spoken (literally spoken) like a mantra can displace much negativity, inertia and self-imposed distraction. This author has brought up something very important.

My motivating line...

The best of them bleed it out while the rest of them peter out. - Foo Figheters.

To me it means the ones who work the hardest, push through the bad times, and practice the hardest, ends up the winner. I think this applies to most everything.
