Mr.

IF YOUR GOING TO INVEST DO IT WISELY, INVEST IN SOMETHING THAT PROMISES YOU A RETURN IN THE FURTURE,DONT RELY ON THE STOCK MARKET,TO MAKE YOUR MONEY GROW,ESPECIALLY WITH THE ECONOMY BEING IN SUCH A BAD SITUATION, FIND A GOOD investment advisor, and maybe he or she can give you peace of mind in your investments.

Real Estate vs. 401K Plan

My retirement plan went down by 50% and I am sure it will take a few years to get up again. My thought is to take the money whatever is left and buy a rental property, foreclosure. Then I would have monthly income and the value of the house which will and should increase with the time.

I would appreciate any comments.

Why invest optimistically?

Because it would be stupid to invest with the conviction that you were certain to lose (as in the opposite of optimistically)

Like in, DUH!
