Oprah

Im hapy that Oprah has her own jet, after all, this is the land of opportunity. However , she made a mistake endorseing Obama, who wants to take away all opportunity unless it grows government.

oprah

Which is why I cancelled my O subscription and no longer watch her show. Seriously, she has had enough of my money. AND...I don't like the way she bought that election with her money and influence.

I DO love the way when she, at the campaign stage, was right up there with Obama...and then MICHELLE OBAMA - I am sure - decided, "I don't think so! Back up off my man!"....and the Oprah disappeared from the stage as he campaigned the rest of the time. Kudos to Michele for this one. Oprah keeps trying to buy her by putting her on the cover of the magazine...Michele is smart enough to keep Oprah at bay, lest she become too much in their business.

Oprah /Private Jet

People need to stop hating on Oprah; Hate the game not the player. If you had gotten off your rusty dusty and taken advantage of the opportunties however few they may have been, you may have had a private jet. Harsh economic times come and go. I'm not mad at someone who has some money these days. Look for ways to make it yourself.

Honesty

Thank you for an honest evaluation of what was said This is a perfect example of the media taking a comment and changing it's meaning. I appreciate Alex's honest appraisal of someone who was present taking the time to let the rest of us who weren't there know what the "real" take was.

hypocrisy

What is the definition of hypocrisy? Well, how much CO2 does the average private jet spew?

Now take a look at this:

Oprah is great, and just keeping it real.

I just graduated from Duke, and was there and heard the speech live. Her jet comment was taken out of context. What she basically said was that having money is nice, but you also need to find meaning in your work by lifting others up to a "higher ground." I think she was being real by saying that it's nice to have money, if she didn't she'd be accused of being a hypocrite.

Love Oprah

I love Oprah. She's the only public figure I listen to. She even got me to support Obama over Hillary which I never thought I'd do in a million years.

Mark this day

Oprah is losing her mind. She did not get where she is by bragging on her jet, and saying such stuff is the start of her decline in influence.

Oh, she'll still be rich, mind you, and still on TV. But the power voice speaking to women in America has moved from Oprah's Chicago to Michelle's Washington.

Luxe Life

Luxury is no longer the sole province of the elite. Upscale goods and services now target a much broader market. Kimberly Castro, deputy business editor of U.S.News & World Report, takes a look at the luxe life, from fine wines and cars to high-end real estate and wealth management. Though no elitist, Kim does admit a fondness for a bold bottle of Scout's Honor from Venge Vineyards and satiating her wanderlust in Europe.
