ooooh yes

My first sip of scotch was Macallan and it ruined all other scotches for me. I'm forever cursed with a longing for a glass (or two or three) of this goodness, a wood-burning fireplace and a quiet evening alone or with friends telling vivid, mostly fictional stories about our lives. Thanks for highlighting a wonderful scotch.

reflections

As I read your post I can't help being taken back to a different time, a different place. A dark bar, just me and my scotch, nothing else seems to matter. The scent and the taste of what a truly fine beverage has to offer. I must confess I suddenly have the urge to say "make it a double on the rocks," but of course I can't since I'm at work and a watering hole it isn't. Thank you for your post I'm excited to see where else you'll take me!

Taste

Pardon me but I wouldn't spend the money on a great scotch and then ruin it by putting Drambuie in it. A rusty nail is fine, just use a lesser scotch.

Luxe Life

Luxury is no longer the sole province of the elite. Upscale goods and services now target a much broader market. Kimberly Castro, deputy business editor of U.S.News & World Report, takes a look at the luxe life, from fine wines and cars to high-end real estate and wealth management. Though no elitist, Kim does admit a fondness for a bold bottle of Scout's Honor from Venge Vineyards and satiating her wanderlust in Europe.
