GLOBAL WARMING HOAX - Not Benign...

Every time a switch is thrown or a motor or engine operated there is, some amount of man made, "unnatural" heat generated. Should we march backward, to the caves, in order to minimize human impact on "Mother Earth"?

Weather has always been as changeable as...well, the weather.

Environmentalists and their subsets of "Climate Change" - "Global Warming" wackos have established a State Religion. Its intolerant dogma controls our schools, courts, media, bureaucrats and politicians. The rights of all have been trampled as a result.

It has become a club with which to beat business, property owners and outdoor recreation into the ground.

People must recognize fanatical Environmentalism for the neo-pantheism it is - before it entirely cripples our nation and the world.

Some Personal solutions to Global warming

I subscribe to Ideal Bite where think Green is very good sense. This site has ways of recycling in your home. Products made of recycled materials and other tidbits. Remember it starts at home and then expands to include otoher family and friends. It is a start for action. There is also another site called Solar.com where these individuals are assisting other countries in heating, energy and telecommunications. Inspiring there should be a home office for her in the states and a renovate your home with solar.

Best Regards!

thanks for your intelligent post, impressionable youth

Dave, Just because there is snow on the east coast does not mean that climate change is not real. Climate change is global, not local. The overall temperature of the planet warming does not mean that our cities will instantly become tropical. Climate change is about overall patterns - one day of weather is not evidence. Please understand this.

Dave, Michael Crichton is not a reliable source to cite. Like impressionable youth said, the scientific community is sure about this. You are not a scientist, I am guessing.

Impressionable youth - you are wise beyond your years. Please continue to be a leader.

Global Warming Relgion

The protesters should go to New York City and stand in the record March snow so they can rethink their belief in junk science. The current warming trend began in 1800 at the end of the Little Ice Age. This was long before automobiles or coal-powered electric plants spewed carbon into the air. Global warming is a religion, not science.

Dave of MT, GREAT POST!

Smart grid overrules outdated energy

Down the road, buildings also can become power plants, which leads them to being both self-sufficient and profitable via selling surplus, and those are what the power companies fear as this can reduce electricity cost considerably in the region as well, better still, it can give a building industry a boost at the same time, according to the research.

With the promsing digital revolution, smart grid, the controversial, unpopular clean coal, nuclea energy issues are not so sigtnificant any longer, I think.

Climate Change Zombies

Yes, the climate is changing. Yes the climate has always been changing. Unfortunatly, your in your arrogance you seeem to think that the only changes that matter have happened since the creation of the Weather channel. This generation of obamabots have been raised to hate their own existence to believe that their elders are foolish and don't understand the "Science".

It is charletons like Obama and Algore that have played on the fears and the ignorance of these simpletons. In doing so, they have been mass hypnotized into this hysterical worship of the earth.

Please LISTEN, there is nothing you can do to stop climate change. The climate will change whether or not you enact stalinist, marxist, communist, socialist policies which will all accomplish nothing except to enslave humanity to fascist dictators.

Extreme environmantalism is cruelty!

"Let's be clear: the work of science has nothing whatever to do with consensus. Consensus is the business of politics. Science, on the contrary, requires only one investigator who happens to be right, which means that he or she has results that are verifiable by reference to the real world. In science consensus is irrelevant. What is relevant is reproducible results. The greatest scientists in history are great precisely because they broke with the consensus..." - Michael Crichton, A.B. Anthropology, M.D. Harvard

Dear Skeptic,

If you must express your dissent about climate change, please try to keep up with the news. The debate of whether climate change is real or not is over. We even know what must be done to solve it. The questions we are dealing with now is WHO is going to do it and HOW.

Yes, some people might still disagree, but please realize it is very difficult to have absolute consensus within the science community. For example, there is still a tiny fraction of people that for their own reasons will claim that smoking is NOT detrimental for your health. There are even people that to this day believe the earth is flat! (Im not kidding: http://www.theflatearthsociety.org/). However, since climate change is an issue that affects so many aspects of our lives (politics, economics, national security, international relations, natural resources, food and water supply, etc...) it is a hot topic! For this reason, the U.S. media was pressured to show "both sides of the climate change debate". As popular sources of information gave equal footing to both climate change experts and skeptics, people understandably became confused. Imagine if the media would give equal footing to the "scientists" out there that disagree that the earth is round. Or is the thought too ludicrous?

Yes, there is a lot of money currently going into climate research, carbon sequestration, and the renewable energy industry. This is what building a new economy means! NEW JOBS!

The truth is that the overwhelming majority of scientists around the world have come to the same conclusions independently. Even Ex-President Bush admitted climate change was real. The new administration is currently on board with the billions of people around the planet that are waking up to this pressing issue and are making changes in their lives. We wholeheartedly hope you join us. This is a problem that affects everyone, regardless of their political affiliation, nationality, religion, or current opinions about climate change.

If you're still not persuaded by the unequivocal verdict of the majority of the scientific community, the opinion of the White House, the rapidly disappearing arctic, the melting glaciers, the acidification of the ocean, killer heat waves, droughts, increasingly frequent and severe tropical storms, and generally topsy-turvy weather around the world, you can always rely on people's experiences all around the globe. Ask elders how their region has changed since they were young.

Finally, keep in mind that the daunting CO2 emission projections are simply models that take into account current trends and current alternate plans. It CANNOT predict politics and the power that people have when they come together for causes greater than themselves. People and policy have come together in the past to make drastic changes in the way we live (think of the cold war, or human rights movements in the US). We will pull through, but we need everyone. Skeptic, my friend, we need you now.
