Wall•E is the best!

I prayed all night for Wall•E to win all the nominations, because he deserved it!

Slumdog SO stole the glory!

haha, sorry again.

oh my gosh, misspelled "Millionaire" again!!! oh well, this is the right spelling!!! yay!!! and I love what Holly of SC had to say. I started bouncing up and down in my chair while I was reading her's!! So true!!! Keep it up, WALL-E fans!!!

robbed, for sure!

I totally agree - Wall-E deserves more than one oscar! Especially for the music (score) and the original screenplay! And yes - it should have been nominated for the best picture, and it should have won!

The Sound!

The sound was such a major component of "Wall-E," and such an endearing one, that I was horrified when it was shut out of the editing award. The only aspect of that movie that rivaled the gorgeous story and spectacular animation was the sound.

WALL-E was robbed

This was quite possibly the worst Oscar ceremony I've ever watched. Slumdog Millionaire?! Come on people! That movie didn't even deserve a nomination! Other than Sean Penn and Kate Winslet winning for best actor/actress and of course, WALL-E winning best animated picture, this year's winners were jokes. WALL-E should have been nominated and WON for best picture. The amount of time and work that goes into an animated film far exceeds any other movie on the list. And to create an animated movie with such heartwarming characters and a strong lesson is even more amazing.

I CANNOT BELIEVE Wall-e only won one single award. That is a travesty. And what idiot thought Slumdog should win over Wall-e for best song and score? Must be a tone-deaf moronic bunch.

Wall-e was BY FAR the BEST movie of the year. It deserved MUCH more.

I'm done with these stupid awards. DONE.

robbed

WALL-E was robbed by the corrupt group of Keystone cops we call the Academy Awards.

ilion of TX @ Feb 24, 2009 03:23:52 AM

Slumdog not all that...

Yeah, I sat there... I knew what would happen. Down to Earth is a great song, but I was quite sure Slumdog would edge it out, I was OK with this -- but best score for Slumdog, I don't think so - robbed is right?

Shecky of TN @ Feb 24, 2009 02:39:41 AM

Wall-e

There are always Disney bashers and the Oscar people are no exception. They have never given Disney its due.
