Kick Your Bad Energy Habits and Save

A recent report revealing that Australia's households waste 300 million in Australian dollars (about $288 million U.S.) simply on neglectful habits is a good reminder for us—after all, the United States is the biggest energy consumer in the world, so the money we send down the drain with every power strip and light left on would far surpass that of the land down under. Some energy-saving tips from U.S. News and the rest of the blogosphere:

Water Conservation

Maybe we shouldn't think about saving the 27 cents per day and think about actually having water for showers 25 years from now...

.27 cents a day

Yeah, the shower comment is ridiculous. So it cost's .27 a day to keep the shower running for two minutes longer. I will gladly pull out a quarter and two pennies every day to keep those two minutes. I am all for conservation of resources and money, but just think the shower comment was not too well thought out.
