High Tech Solutions for Low Tech Green Problems

why not walk?

I never really thought of the Kindle as environmentally friendly, per se, but I guess this is yet another reason to resist the exorbitant sticker price! I think with CFLs and even the hybrids the main point is that they're better than nothing, but still not ideal.

Also on cars: hybrids overrated, yes, but certainly underrated is carpooling. I can't believe how seldom I see people sharing rides. I guess we really do need our personal space and individuality in this modern world. I try to take the whole town with me to the store if I can (ha). Recycling water when washing your car is another big lo-tech way to conserve, or at least taking it to a car wash that reuses water (a green tip courtesy of carfunfootprint.com).

Also ghastly underrated: walking.
