Drill Baby Drill

Coming from an oil and gas state with large revenues,Wyoming, drilling is not without consequence! Shame on any party that flies with a motto of "Drill Baby Drill" with so little emphasis on renewable sources that are so readily available and in need of harnessing and development! It is frightening. As it turns out, many states that are huge in the oil and gas industry are also huge with wind, sun, and geothermal. More safe information on nuclear development also needs to come to the public eye! A healthy balance of all of our resources is critical as we move into the future.

Will and Can are 2 different things.

I support more drilling, however labor is very expensive in this country, you are competing with countries that pay their people 2 dollars an hour. This fact alone would make our oil expensive. Tariffs would have to placed on forgien oil just to be competitive and profitable.

Drill Baby Drill

Let's get rid of our foreing dependency on oil. And be all we can be. Isn't that the American way?

of AL @ Sep 21, 2008 23:36:40 PM

drill baby drill

Our problem is not oil or lack of oil. Our problem is our total dependence on oil. Our national security is jeopardized by being fixated on oil. The problem, part two, is pollution. Oil use only makes it worse.

The answers are diversity and oil conservation. Obama should wag his tire gauge at every speech and emphasize that 'drill baby drill' is not a solution. There is more oil to be had through conservation than drilling. It will last longer, make us safer and reduce pollution and green house gasses.

Drill over ANWR & Offshore? Environment Friendly?

It is important United States to create more energy-Alternative production and more homeland production-gas and natural gas. I strongly diagree with Governor Palin statements with energy issue. Just look Exxon Oil spill 1989. It took many many year to restore environment impact. Recent oil spill over S.F. Bay, many wildlife killed. Environmently Friendly? No. 1989 Exxon refuse to pay full amount for cleanup oil spill. United States Supreme Court order Exxon to pay demages. Senator John McCain oppose drilling ANWR. Department OF Energy-EIA stated, It would take estimate amount of time 2030 from ANWR drilling. According to Governor Jeff Bush administration oppose drilling over east coast of Florida. Tourism is vital for Florida economy. Tourist do not want to see Oil Rigs over Atlantic Waters.

To solve energy problems I would create board(panel) first -energy and environment commitee.

Second- Expand Public Transporation sector- Metro Cities.

Third- Climate Change (Global Warming)

Fourth- More Alternative Energy Production- No Ethanol.

Fifth- More Gasoline and Natural Gas Product with commitee approval. It is vital to protect environment. We try to avoid another EXXON OIL Spill.
