Restaurants on a Roll

Was your fact checker laid off?

Strange - they claim chains like McDonalds and Burger King have lost business. I just recently watched a report on national news that McDonalds is seeing record sales this year.

Rising Roll Gourmet is one of my favorite places to eat!

Not only are the sandwiches delicous & generous in size, but their Potato Salad is the best in the South! When I am in the mood for a salad I order the Harvest Salad for lunch and bring the rest home for dinner! The first time I heard about Rising Roll Gourmet was when my office ordered in for a "lunch & learn" and we used their Group Online Ordering feature which is awesome! I got an "evite" to order what I wanted for lunch...pretty cool! www.risingroll.com

Eat with the Locals

At home we like to find great restaurants where the locals eat. Why not do this when traveling in a new area?

We use the Food TV network show "Diners, Drive ins and Dives" and search by locale to find the Best places to eat for cheap!

It works every time, and its so much fun NOT to eat in chain restaurants!

Tropical Flava Restaurant

If anyone is in the macon area in Georgia, you should try Tropical Flava restaurant at 5201 Houston Road. Its a comfortable restaurant that offers service with style and nice portion size for family. Great family meals, reasonably priced. Check it out...I am sure you will be saying the same thing. Great caribbean food...great tofu too.

Felipe de Puerto Rico

Was in Orlando and asked the concierge at the hotel we were staying at to recommend a place for supper, not far in driving distance.

He recommended Bob Evans, 1st of all, I ordered " Meat Loaf "

The meat dish had enough sodium to put me into cardiac arrest. The rest was a so so mixture of inedible food. Think twice before going in. I wrote the company and they sent me a $5.00 discount coupon, well that went into the garbage. I won't be returning nor recommending that food joint.

Better at Mickey D's....at least the food there has a high turnover.
