Social Security

I Know this has nothing to do with the auto industry but I have to post it somewhere. I know this post will not be seen by the right parties but at least it will make me feel better. We have been informed that there will not be any increase in Social Security for the next Two years, but of course our insurence premiums will increase the next two years, should't our premiums stay the same? The reasoning being that the economy is in the tank. Well!!! The government is spending money like it grows on trees, Trillions and Trillions, (I cannot even imagine how much that is). Why can't the Government print a Trillion or so and give Social Security recipients the raise they deserve. The price of everything keeps increasing and our income keeps decreasing. I believe if this money was given to all the people, not just the little pittence of $250.00 that most people used to pay bills, it would in turn help the economy.

As far as the Cash for Clunkers program, what is going to happen to the auto dealers and auto makers now that it is over. I suppose after a few weeks employees will again be layed off the assembly lines and dealers will again not be selling cars. And when is the government going to pay these dealers for those clunkers? It is shame these cars are being destroyed as there are hundreds and hundreds of people that could use them. But I'm sure there will be another program that will cost billions to help the auto industry and the finincial instutions.

Sorry that I rambled on and on but I do have alot more I could write but I do feel a little better.

Why R American Automakers' Struggling?

I've been really curious about the "Sharp looking" Chevy Impala.

I got my chance and the car is all about looks. Its the most sluggish V6 I've ever driven. Compared to a 2005 Maxima, the impala is a turtle. It picks up like a 4 Cyl. Bottomline is the secret of the products from the struggling Automakers has surfaced. People are buying better products and now they have to super-discount to sell which hurts their profits. Its a lil bit surprising that Ford pull through without cracking up like Chrystler & GM.

doesn't matter!!!

It doesn't matter if there is a cash for clunkers you still have to have a perfect credit score! What about the single parent living on a fixed income driving gas guzzers?who only make short runs for there kids but still costs alot of GAS......

Toyota Honda Nissan

To all of you whoe remember the early gass crounches We were in a scramble then to buy more efficient cars nearly overnight The Asian manufacturers had what the American public wanted and they sold as fast as they could ship them .What we who bought discovered was that they were dam good and American manufacturers were in a scramble to manufacture a better product or close .The Bail out programs are a handout to the upper few at the expense of all the working class that can least afford it Why should we reward those who sit on there brain and screw up .I dont need a $35000 commode in my $2000000 office .

patriotic

I am not an american, but I beleive in america, and support america, but it went soul, because it caused me not just my time, but a lot of money. Sad, but true, in order to survive, they need to look to the future, cut the lost now, and reinvest themselve, live up to your slogan, not just the image that they want us... What they need to do is bring in new blood, there is probable, too much warn body, so too much comfort and not enough creativeness or innovation... There is abundant of technology, out there, and I'm surprise, they are slow to use it. When I first heard and saw how solar worked or some of the renew energy can power so much, I wanted to write to one of the US Auto maker...

AMERICAN CAR DEALERS

I work in the car business and have for 27 years. Its not the american dealers or products, its people that always think imports is better. Well you got what you wanted, if you are one of the millions out of work due to the auto industry maybe you need to look at what you and your family and friends drive!!! I am a loyal GM person, I have owned a Toyota and a Honda, but always and I mean always have I gone back to GM!!! My whole family drives American made cars and trucks. So before you blame the economy, look in the mirror!!! The only thing wrong with the economy is that the United States is trying to take care of everyone else but the Americans. Let the import "crap" stay overseas, ship all stuff made in China back, make our own products and support the USA. Send all the people that arn't americans back where they came from. If you want to live here, than become american and do it legally. Stop taking food off my table because you can hire the Mexicans and pay them under the table alot cheaper than you can me!!! YOU ARE THE REASON THE ECONOMY IS LIKE IT IS!!!!
