Give please. I wrote myself a check for ten million dollars for acting services rendered and dated it Thanksgiving 1995. I put it in my wallet and it deteriorated. And then, just before Thanksgiving 1995, I found out I was going to make ten million dollars for Dumb & Dumber. I put that check in the casket with my father because it was our dream together.

I am from Tanzania and know bad English, give true I wrote the following sentence: "Synthroid treats hypothyroidism and different types of goiters."

Get rid of the good old boys

Wall Street is a mess because it is largely run by the good old boy network who pats each other on the back and pays each other for failure. Has anyone really looked at the qaulifications and training of the vp levels, c levels and board of director levels of these companies and compare them to the large talent pool out there in their own companies and rest of the country? Has anyone ever tested their IQs? Are they subject to credit checks and criminal background checks like the rest of the work force including how the minimum wage cook at McDonalds is?

And don't even get me started on the MBA programs in our country. An MBA does not create a leader. What our MBAs learn is how to cut costs so that they can pay themselves and their friends at the cost of shareholder value and fair pay for performance to employees who do the real heavy lifting. These MBAs have learnt to keep a cloack of secrecy even from their own employees in the name of confidential financial information. Confdentiality, my foot; all they are hiding is their own misdeeds and the fact that if they communicated with their employees, it would be soon found out how little they understand the businesses they are running.

I am surrpised that there has not been a french style revolution where the masses have not demanded that this big fat cats be gullitoned - may be, it will happen after some last straw that breaks the camel's back.

True Grit

There are still plenty of Americans who have the guts, patriotism and graciousness of Sulley. Thats what keeps me positive that we as Americans can gut out this tough period of the economy. Unfortunately it seems Hollywood and the media don't want people to aspire to those heights of patriotism anymore. Hauling Madoff off in handcuffs to a jail with bars would be a good start towards the healing process IMHO. Some of the "True Grit" of John Wayne would be a refreshing change for some of the leaders of this country, in addition to paying their taxes and toning down the pay for play part of the political process.

Sully is what all Americans should aspire to be.

Great Article,

Capt Sullenberger is truly a Great Leader and a Real Professional. Faced with the most insurmountable odds with his life and the life of over 100 others in the balance. Capt Sullenburger never flinched never panicked never lost his cool in the face of death.

Not only can CEO's but our politicians can learn many many things from this great man and leader. How many people could have made the split decision to make a landing in the Hudson River and do it flawlessly, and as said here, keep your composure even afterward?

One in a Million, that's how many and it is probably greater odds than that.

Capt Sullenberger, I want to personally thank you for showing the world that America still has truly Great Men of Professionalism, Leadership, Composure and Character! You have made

me proud to be American again, too bad our elected leaders can't do the same.

accounting for bonuses

It might be proper and enlightening to the whole

citizenry, to know the names and amount of bonuses received/allocated for each Wall Street

executives.

Pls post their pictures and companies they work

for.

If it will add to the value of ethics to our

executives and workforce, it would be refreshing

and of great help to the citizenry.
