Tata is not taking into account the revenue it gets from Corus as this is its first year as a joint company. If it does its revenue is $ 70 billion.

Response to Jeff Nash from Rick Newman

Hi Jeff. Not sure where your revenue figures come from. Here's where I got mine: Tata Group's 2006-2007 FY revenue (latest figures available) was $28.8 billion, according to the company. (Source: http://www.tata.com/0_about_us/group_profile.htm) Allowing just for organic growth makes rounding to $30 billion very reasonable. Actual updated annual figures (due in a few weeks) will probably be higher than $30 b. For the Alcoa and Northrop revenue figures, I simply used the Fortune 500 rankings, available here: http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/fortune500/2007/full_list/index.html. Alcoa's 2007 revenue was $30.9 billion, Northrop's was $30.3 billion.

Tata far bigger than Alcoa or Northrop Grumman

"Tata is a sprawling, privately owned firm headquartered in Bombay, with about $30 billion in revenue—roughly the size of Alcoa or Northrop Grumman".

There is some mistake somewhere. Alcoa's revenue is about $6 Billion. Northrop's is about $7 Billion. Tata group's total revenues are approximately $68 (sixty-eight) Billion.

Tata group is far bigger than either Alcoa or Northrop.

Tata Motors Ace electric pickup trucks

Alan Rosling said "I don't think we have a product yet that's ready for the U.S.,"

Are they NOT shipping 10,000 Tata Ace electric pickup trucks to the USA for Chrysler's GEM division to sell this year and 50,000 next?
