Relief Starts to Trickle to Troubled Homeowners

Re

Homeowners bought more than they can afford, is not my fault, so why do I have to pay ?

Oh and we will PAY you know us WORKING people.

With a moron at the helm in his "share the wealth" program why does he not first show how wonderful his charity is ?

I think he and his could cough up a few million, or how about this ass show his charity just by "DONATING" his "Presidential Income"...for the next four years how about it ? Is he not preaching about helping others? Well charity starts at home.

And MO can show her charity as well let her donate some of her hidden cash ...she has plenty also...

All these people who purchased homes threw Fannie and Freddie could not afford a house to start with ... They all should have remained RENTERS.

Until ACORN started the crap for the poor and the minority's

it is all a crock in my humble opinion.

I am not judging

I am just can't agree with helping people who fell in to holes they digged for themselves. Really, when do good gys get some rewards for skimping on food, activities( theater, concerts, movies, sports), working 16 hoursa day and still can't afford health insurance because I need to make my house payments.? Too sad that you have to be " bad" to get some attention in this country.

on judging

tamar-your attitude will sink this country into oblivion. what's going on behind closed doors? homeowners bought more than they can afford. all factors mentioned are part of daily living and need to be taken into account when making a significant purchase...

so we should bail them out because they're irresponsible? ridiculous

Reason? What is that?

Scott, you guys lost the election! (me included unfortunately) How can you now expect common sense and reason to be used! Nancy, Harry and Barry are in the drivers seat! Bail out everyone and then tax the crud out of you reasonable guys...Geesh Scott? What? Are you some kind of nut, how dare you use Reason and Common Sense!

DITTO What Scott Said!!!!!!!!

dont judge...lest you be judged yourself...

there are a lot of reasons people fall short.  Wages are lowered, loss of job, unexpected medical or dental expenses that are unavoidable, major damage to a home that requires extensive repairs or the home is non-insurable, interest rates rise above expected rise, loss of stock portfolio that was supposed to be a backup plan, decrease in value of property, raise in fees associated with property such as water, power, etc. YOU have no idea what is going on behind closed doors so don't judge someone else.

What about the good guys?

How about the breaks for those of use who have busted our butts and lived within our means. There are a lot of things I would like to buy, but being smart I put my money where it is needed. When can I expect my "Living within my means bonus"? I could understand helping someone who lost a job due to health reasons, but I think many of the people that will be helped are those that just over extended and can not keep up due to poor money management past and present.
