10 cars nobody wants?

The majority of the cars and trucks I have owned, have been Chrysler. I have never had a problem with them, nor have I ever been sorry I purchased the vehicle. I drive a new Dodge Nitro R/T, one of the vehicles you have chosen to go away. I love the Nitro! I get great mileage with the 4.0L, 5-spd. auto. I have no complaints, and I get alot of "Wows'", at gas stations, and looks on the highway. You are so full of crap especially in light of the fact that everybody I meet that is driving the Nitro, or its' sibling, the Liberty, love them. Rick Myers

Marquis

Is there another full frame, rear wheel drive car available? I can't think of one. I love the Marquis. I know the market is narrow but the utility of the vehicle is fabulous. I love the niche it fills. What other car can tow so much? You would need a truck or SUV. A great dependable automobile, mines got 320,000 miles with zero problems, just routine maintence. Those are mostly hard miles too, pulling a two ton trailer quite a bit. Hey Detroit, quit listening to the "style" freaks. Keep putting out great transportation like the Marquis.

10 cars

It's unfortuante that Chrysler has four name plates on the list, but let's put the blame where it belongs---These are all designs for which we can thank the inspired leadership of Daimler. After gutting the Auburn Hills design staff, we were blessed with the incomparable German engineering. A big thanks to Bob Eaton for that!

Marquis Fan in Detroit area

I'm on my third Mercury Marquis and would buy another when this one wears out. I get 27mpg on monthly trips to northern Michigan, the ride is smooth and comfortable.I usually get a decent resale price when I buy a replacement. If I was ever in an accident I would want this car protecting me because as any automotive engineer knows" mass wins"

Chrysler

Cerberus really blew it; Chrysler vehicles haven't been good for decades. Now they're looking to get out. I have a suggestion: Chrysler/GM should get into train/subway car/public transportation manufacturing. Aren't US cities require to "Buy American"? DC buys their Metro cars from Italy and there's a huge backlog. With increased use of public transportation, it would make sense for Chrysler/GM to just get out of automobile manufacturing - they are so bad at it!

Warren Buffet

Actually, Mr. Buffet drives an older Lincoln Towncar.

Why 10 cars that no one will miss?

Because GM and Chrysler CEOs and upper management worried more about the next quarter's profits, which affected their bonuses and stock options, more than the long term viability of the company, the employees, industry, community, and country. They had no vision and never looked to the future or analyzed trends. They just kept doing the same thing until it didn't work anymore, and then said it's not my fault. The sad fact is that Rick Wagoner is still there. I wouldn't touch a GM stock until Wagoner goes.

Warren Buffett

Yeah, I'm sure Buffett drives a used car, maybe a 1972 Yugo.
