How Sarah Palin, Joe Biden Would Guard Your Wallet

Effect of Taxes On Small Business

Biden: "only those making more than $250,000 will pay more taxes."

Palin, says this will adversly affect small business owners and Biden replies that "94% of small business owners make less than $250,000."

My information is that 70% of U.S. jobs are from "small business" and 80% of new jobs.

Where does Biden get his 94% number? It seems to be a key point that I cannot yet verify.

Taxes

When are Obama and Biden going to acknowledge that "Big oil" doesn't Pay Taxes and that when the Goverment rasies their Taxes they just pass on the cost to the consumer,in other words we pay the increase . So what we have here is an increase in the taxes paid by the very people that Obama and Biden claim to be looking out for the "middle class".Also when Obama and Biden talk about jobs and rebuilding the infrastructure these are nothing but goverment paid jobs, thats jobs that are paid for by Tax money agin that comes out of my pocket or are they just going to print up a lot of new money to cover it since Obama sayes he is going to cut taxes on anyone making less than 250,000$ ? Biden also made the comment that bankruptcy judges should be able to say to lenders " look we are just going to reduce the amont of money owed so people can stay in their house" what kind of crap is this? I woke hard for my money and I have a pretty good job and it's still a struggle to pay my bills but my Mama and Daddy taught me a long time ago that I had a resposibility to take care of my family and my debts it's not up to the goverment to step in and take care of me ! I am sick and tired of my money going to pay for people who are willing to sit back and let others pay for them this is what is wrong in this country now!!!!If you really want to help GET OUT OF THE WAY AND GET YOUR HANDS OUT OF MY POCKET!!!!!!!!!!!!

Neither have any real answers

As much as I appreciate that the candidates must come up with answers for reporters and debates, let's face the fact that on day one of the job, a lot of what they say during the campaign will be forgotten or recognized as completely impractical. I will say that this article does a good job of showing that the candidates really are not that different from one another.

Corporate "windfall" profits tax

No corporation has ever paid any tax - the corporation merely acts as a surrogate tax collector, extracting extra money from its customers to pass along to the government.

The money to pay corporate taxes comes out of the customers' pockets. Tax the oil company? Great, the price of petroleum products goes up, the price of groceries go up (they travel by motor vehicle), etc.

And supposedly intelligent people fall for this line every time.

Errata

1) If it's wrong to reward Banks for poor lending choices, then it's wrong to reward homeowners for poor borrowing choices. Letting judges rewrite mortgages just rewards people for going bankrupt. I pay my bills on time and I would love to owe less on my own home but I don't get that option, why should someone who can't pay their on time get it?

2)How about utilizing multiple tax strategies? The windfall tax has worked great up here (in AK). Why not expand it to other industries nationwide as well? Why don't we cut taxes for companies that invest in America. If they keep jobs here, or better yet, make more jobs here, then we give them some tax credit. We can create jobs and reward companies at the same time. Then, we can help out the most poverty stricken by granting them credits as well. The others don't need it so much (relatively speaking). Promotion of hybrid vehicles does the same as increased drilling in the short term, nothing. Let's focus on the short term while slowly working on the long term. Begin drilling operations, reward car companies for increased fuel mileage, and increase the minimums at a faster rate than is currently on the books. Begin creating the infrastructure for large renewable energy products and for alternative fuels as well.

3) The energy rebate up here (AK) for $1200 made a lot of people angry because those who didn't really need it got it too. Instead of giving away money, let's reinvest it in our economy and rewriting legislation for taxation and investor regulation.

Gut Check

I am urgently asking all Americans to do a Gut Check on whether you hate George Bush so much that you would vote for someone with NO executive experience. BIll Clinton had executive experience, Ronald Reagan had execeuitve experience.

When a professional or college assistant football coach becomes a head professional and college football coach he adopts his own playbook and philosphy. We should judge every man and women on his or own merit and experience in life and how they earned their way to the kob they now manage.

How is it that you have Sarah Palin who has more executive experience that the person running for president be hammered every day by the media when JOe Biden who is Obama's vice presidental pick public state that Obama has no experience for this office and it would be a mistake.

Spending twenty years in a church that teaches racial prejudices towards the white family and other races is guilty of setting back racial equality. I worked as a Florida State Trooper during the riots in Miami and I learned first hand about racism, hate, anger and cheer frustartions by the balck man and women. Martin Luther King would be appauled by knowing that Obama and his family attended a racialy charged church that teaches only the black value system..After twenty years of this being pushed down your throat makes you truly wonder on how he says that he cares about all americans until he is elected, I am hearing that Obama will sponsor legislation that would give every black family $100,000 after he is elected because for reparation for the families who suffered through slavery and now has prevented a black man or women in getting and eductaion or job.

In 2005 on the Floor of the UNited Staes Senate John McCain co-sponsored a bill senate bill 109 that would have required regulations for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Please read the transcript for yourself during this gut check to se him address the President of the SEnate in warning them if this bill does not pass then the american people will suffer the finnacila consequences brought on by the failure of both companies. Now here we are they failed and the Congressional Committee who had oversight said that there are NO problems within those companies.

Please do your homework, please do agut check, it's not about giving great speeches to cheering crowds, it's not about hating bush so much that you just cast your vote because of anger like the riots in Miami. People should work hard, save their money, live within their means, have health insurance and become knowledgeable about our own governement by holding them accounatble. The winner of this bailout will be every SEnator and Congressman who owns stock on Wall street. the next winner will be every lobbyist who owns stock on Wall Stree, the next winner will be every broker who has an inside deal by owning stock on Wall STreet will benefit with you the middle class who may not own any stock paying for their mistakes.

Size Matters

When choosing a candidate, my biggest factor is the size of government. Does this candidate want more or less government control of this country? My fear is that the number of dependent voters now exceeds the self-relinent.

Taxes

How is Obama planning to make his ideas work? Lower taxes, but plan to spend billions on his energy and health plan. Will not work, unless he is planning to spend his money. ::: We are in enough trouble in this country, what with our national debt. Would someone please try being more truthful.
