I dont get why every one thinks that A upgrade form windows xp to windows 7 should run smoothly.

that makes no senes at all, for example one, drivers may cuase crashes becuase as you upgrade from to windows 7 it will leave behind the drivers this is just way it has to be done becuase if it uninstalled the drivers befor it did upgrade and install windows 7 it would crash windows xp.

this is major issue when doing a upgrade.

the New OS wont work with the old drivers, and the old OS probly wont work with the New drivers, and only time you can fully delet DLL driver files is when there not being used by the operating system.

this would mean during the boot up of windows befor it starts upgrade of the install of Windows 7 it would have to remove the drivers. which would then crash windows xp.

becuase it have to remove all drivers.

this will probly cuase a blue screen.

doing a clean install is not a big deal, on top of that windows xp is over 9 years old going on 10. vista is now about 4 to 5 years old. as it came out in 2002 as a beta and came out retail in 2004.

considering that micorsoft only time they make money is with sale of an New operating system for example old operating systems that are out in market make money money for micorsoft.

so just like a game console they put out a new operaitng system every 4 years.

on top of that they give you life long pretty much free upgrades to your OS no othere company in the world really dose that not even mac. mac actully puts out a new OS almost every year to years and alot of the time some of the OS they put out wont work at all with there older computers. they requre certain special chip or what ever.

plus on top of that its not microsfot issue or fualt to support stuff they do not make for example hardware.

or software that is made by anthere company, windows is put out a year two years in advance every time they relase a new OS in beta stages for delvopers and tester to test and devloper there software around. so all the driver and sfotware that people bitch about not working they should really stop bitching at micro soft and place blame on people who sold them the software and devloped those drivers and software, there ones who are suppose to support it there ones who get a free copy of windows to test there prodcuts on.
