Texting while driving ?

This is to 'scott powers'.

Well, How can the car companies and cellphone companies make up a signal to disable texting options ?

That will just use up more technology ? And i guess that to disable texting options, you have to, i guess press something in your phone. Then that means, that the old phones would'nt work for that. And the cars that will be able to do that ? would have to be new ones. like extremely new ones. plus, what if someone forgets or just does'nt want to disable the texting options . See? its just to much .

texting while driving

the car companies and cell phone companies should set up a signal in a moving car that will disable texting options during driving.

How far is this going to go with teaching people to NOT learn to drive? First we teach people to ignore safe distances and leaving room for stopping with antilock brakes. Then it's OK to crash because we have airbags, on to ignoring road conditions because the car will sort it out and tell us. Now we can ignore our own physical condition because the car will wake us up. Check tire pressure, oil or anything? Nah, let the car do it. Remember directions, learn to read maps, pay the slightest attention to landmarks? Why bother! This next generation is ADD anyhow, guess we shouldn't rock the boat, might as well do what we can to perpetuate and reward it rather than have anything that requires the slightest bit of thought or concentration.
