doesn't work on sprint

I;ve used it befor and it worked great - in all networks. I just tried it to a person on a sprint network and it won't connect. I tried to another sprint number and it's not working either. So much for a quick and easy way to leave a quick message..

slydial

The problem with Slydial is the person's phone actually does ring once - I tried calling my own cell phone from a land line and the number 1-601-429-9007 came up on my cell phone's caller ID. When you call the 601 number back it says it's disconnected.

useful and yes, it works!

Have slydialed quite a few times since the launch. Have left messages for people who are at work and can't pick up (don't want to bother them anyway), have left condolences to a friend in the middle of funeral preparations for her brother (ugh, like I wanted to have THAT conversation at that moment!), have left confirming VMs for babysitters - you name it! Very, very useful and have zero glitches phoning to different areas of US and all different carriers. Once you get into it, you find a million ways to use it. Would be nice to have a dedicated key on my cellphone to put me straight into the Slydial system.

Great!

I've used it many times- from a cell phone directly to another cell phone's voicemail. Great as it's saved me time and allowed me to say a "rehearsed" item to someone rather than having to do a conversation. I am glad to have found it.

Didn't Work

I don't know what this slydial is all about, being that I have tried it numerous times and it has failed for me all times. I think this is something that whomever invented should keep in their laboratory.

The way SlyDial works

The only way this system must work is as follows and you could do it yourself, with a little work. Think of it this way:

If you call a cell number by dialing it first on your land-line, and talk to the person, then while talking to the person on your land-line you dialed with your cell phone, what would happen? It would go to the voice mail system.

Well, if you dial these both at the same time, one will go to voice-mail and the other would ring through.

Now the next step. To work, Slydial has to immediately hang up the call that started to ring, and connect your phone call to the one that went to voice mail.

Voila, you have the way Slydial has to work. No magic, but a great idea!

Good idea but ...to much liability

Great idea..but to much risk & liability for me .. only works on a few Carriers.. no land lines or prepaid.. and many others dont work.. I doubt it will ever work on most or all providers.. because you simply cant get access to voicemail doing what your doing on all providers.. and it wont be long before the others block you as well..some providers charge for voicemail per message.. and if you are the gateway..you will be liable.. just like some of the website text services were.. look out..! and I hope someone dont tell someone to kill themselves.. and they do.. you would be out of business.. and broke.. sorry buddy thats the way the world works.. risky business..
