BlackBerry Bold is Hardly That

I can't decide

WOW, I really can't decide whether to get a blackberry bold or blackberry storm? Please help me. A lot of website say that the blackberry bold is better but, also a lot of another website say that the blackberry storm is better. Which should I get??? Please help me

David - Do you realize you can set the speed of the track ball? That's all user input. So if you thought your old speed was too fast (Hilarious you didn't know you could change it) and this one is too slow.... maybe you should learn how to use your phone and ADJUST IT. Not genius, just plain common sense. Almost as pathetic as you saying you didn’t like the ring tone it came with.

Bold is Bold

Im amazed at the functions of the Bold. The price may sound a tad steep for some people. But when you experience the features fully, its all worth the spending. Until you get to the camera. I am actually quite disappointed with the camera on my Bold. My previous Sony Ericsson did a much better job at pictures and videos and was 2MP as well. But that is my only rant on the phone. Apart from that, Im very impressed with what this Canadian company can do

New Bold is Awesome

Just purchased the Bold this weekend and coming from a BB 7100i, the Bold is amazing. The screen, keyboard, speed, speaker phone and camera are just some of the great advances in technology. One thing that needs to be increased is the battery life. Hopefully BB will offer the "extended battery & door" then you have everything you would want.

How about the "BlackBerry Most Excellent"?

I got it for those incremental improvements. I've had many phones, including Treos, the Tilt, the 8525 - and then switched to BlackBerry because my job required it. I've been very impressed with the reliability,solidness and elegance of BlackBerry, but the Bold is really the best of the best. I use my phone as my home phone too, so because it is my connection to the world, I want it to be good! The reception, sound quality, keyboard, speed... all are better. And then there's the SCREEN... just heavenly!

Do I have a lemon Blackberry Bold?

Hey cellphone lovers,

I just bought the Blackberry Bold on tuesday. It has locked up and rebooted on its own on a few occasions in just a few days. I've even had some dropped calls in areas that I never had with my previous phone the blackberry curve. Has any new bold users had these problems? What's so interesting is I had the same problem with the Palm Treo last year. I'm taking it back to AT&T tomorrow if it reboots again on it's own. I may try another one but if there are issues I'm going back to curve. I didn't really need the bold just wanted something new.

More tempting at $150

It is a nice incremental upgrade for BlackBerry loyalists. I don't see anything on the phone that will generate a new wave of BB customers.

By the way, Amazon.com is also offering the phone for $150 (after rebate, of course) and 2-year contract. And LetsTalk has it for free after rebate, but not until Nov. 18 and it looks like only for new AT&T customers.

For free? Why not? Tho I'd have to test the AT&T network in my area. At $150? I'd wait until I see the Storm, and maybe the Bold is $100 or less for renewals by then.

And thanks, by the way, to William of CA for teaching me how to adjust my trackball!
