7 Reasons to Kill the Obama Stimulus Bill

What I don't get is if it's so all-fired urgent that we pass this to prevent, as Obama says, catastrophe, why does the majority of it not take effect until 2010 or later. Why don't they start small and just pass the part that takes effect now?

I think the stimulus bill is an incredible idea! Doesn't matter if it might be difficult to start.
