Unemployment, Democrats and the 2010 Election

2006 election

In October 2006 the unemployment rate was 4.4% with a downward trend if any change at all. The next month we know of a change that did take place. The US Senate, the US House, the governorships, the state senates, and the state houses ALL experienced a change in majority from one party to another. This change was in the same direction for all 5 bodies. Thirteen months later a recession began. The unemployment rate is now 10.2%. It appears a change took place in 2006 which correlates with a worsening economy. The 2008 election was more of the same change but in the White House. The recent House vote on health care coverage was also more of the same change. Given the correlation between these changes and the economy, we must ask 'Is this the change we want?'

A pox on both

It's the economy, stupid.

It would be a real opportunity for the Republicans...if they were any different than the Democrats. Under Bush they were more of a liberal echo than a choice: big spenders, corrupt, me-too on putting the interests of illegal Mexicans over those of legal citizens, etc.

Today the Republican party is religious/liberal and the Democratic party is secular/liberal, but otherwise the differences are insignificant.

Vote out the Spendocrats

Whoever runs in 2010 if they supported this bloated spending spree, voted to pass the toxic assets from the banks to the backs of the American tax payer we need to send them home. Go back and look at who voted to repeal the Glass Segal Act and vote everyone of them out of office. Red or Blue does not matter, we need to evaluate our representatives and vote in candidates that will vote to get rid of entitlement programs, cut taxes and the deficit.

2010 just be a tough year?

2009 is a tough enough year without predicting that 2010 will just be a tough year. But as to the 2010 elections, is anybody that anybody knows running? And what issues are they running on?

Inquisitive minds just want to know.

How time flies!

The 2010 election? It seems like only a few months ago that we had the 2009 election. Who's running in the 2010 election? Anybody anybody knows?
