why all country are not doing somthing for recession if thy will doing something for it then we can overcome i thing they will invest som liquidity in indian economy.......ok why people have terminatid by his job and why he has loss his job..........if it like happen all new generation is going to depth......and after some time they will get die...so pls com with me and make a good country.........and throug the recession and get profit.......its my cell.no..09000896720...........

User taxes

The basic premise of taxing individuals proportionately to their use or consumption has merit. People who don't drive cars shouldn't have to pay taxes for paving roads. People who grow their own food shouldn't have to pay taxes for landfills full of plastics or for cleaning up the waterways and ocean due to toxic pollutants. People who use coats and blankets to keep warm in environmentally efficient homes should not have to pay taxes to support energy wasters. While the Earth has cycle of global warming and cooling throughout the eons, there may be contributing factors caused by human development, consumption and pollution. Better to err on the side of prudence than to totally scoff and disregard the issues of global warming - and possible reach a point of no return. If we gear up to be more energy efficient, less polluting, and better caretakers of our forests, waterways and air - how could that possibly hurt us? On the other hand, if we continue down the path of destruction and waste since the 20th Century, the eventual outcome can not be a good one for humans and biodiversity.

and Amen. A revenue-neutral carbon tax is the superior model. Not only does a carbon tax limit emissions and create incentives for the creation of new, climate-friendly technology, it also returns the revenue to already struggling families.

you're assuming...

that the Obama people (and a lot of others who use this issue) are actually trying to stop global warming instead of using the hype and hysteria surrounding it to gain more power and/or wealth (see Al Gore)...

if the accrual of power is the end goal, then there is ZERO reason to believe that the damage done to the economy by their global warming measures will in any way cause them to rethink them or postpone them...in fact, since the economy worsening - iow the bigger the crisis that they "never let go to waste" gets - gives them a handy excuse to claim more power to enact "drastic measures," then that's not a "bad" thing from their point of view anyway...

pretty soon you have enough power that you don't have to bother having elections anymore...

This approach really does work, because the refund is per person and does not increase when you use more carbon. In effect the tax is only on the carbon that you use above what the average person uses. This very fair. Everyone is free to use what they want, but you have to pay a bit to overuse. It helps energy independence and the climate.

This is an old idea (1920) that economists have tested on lots of data from the first OPEC crisis and it really works. And works more cheaply than anything else. And it does not hurt the poor.

Carbonomics:

There is one book, that's extremely readable and covers this and a lot more. It's the only book that does. You can get Carbonomics at Amazon.

Environmental wackos

For the climate sensitive environmentalist nut cases out there, there is no such thing as global warming. Most Americans know that there is no such thing, but it seems that the minority is screaming the loudest. Carbon Dioxide is something that we naturally emit from our bodies. Plant life and trees absorb the carbon dioxide to survive. In exchange they expel oxygen which we need to live. This is just one more lie that the liberal left is pushing to get their agenda through. There is a reason why, the big 3 are sitting on all those hybrids, nobody is willing to believe and therefore pay.

If the left really believed what they were preaching don't we think that team Obama would quit flying all over the place. What kind of example does this set? Not a very good one. What about Princess Pelosi and here upgrade for transportation? We won't even start with Al Gore. We all know what he believes in and it isn't global warming? Practice what you preach before throwing stones!

Taxes!

How can this administration dare to push taxes! This country is in chaos and they want to push more taxes? This is an outrage! Global warming is a hoax and yet being used to

push more $$ out of the hands of the masses into the slave master Federal Reserve.

Every thing IS already taxes. Gas is taxes, yes, Coal is taxed, food is taxed, everything that could possibly be taxed IS taxed! Now lets pay taxes for pseudo situations created by Al Gore. Who will benefit from these taxes the most? It sure as hell won't be the American people! Coal Ash? Volcanoes have been producing it for ages and we are still alive. How about that!
