Why Mitt Romney Gets It

unable to ask Romney a question???

During the campaign, when asked why his war approving sons were not in the military, he replied something to the effect that they were doing the country's work by working on his campaign. He lost the campaign but I have not heard that his sone enlisted! I have been unable to find an email address to ask him the question.

I knew that was a Ron Paul guy.

Seriously, the one comment ripping on Romney HAD to be a Ron Paul guy. Hey, don't you know Romney wants to End the Fed? Well, at least streamline it. It's gotta be Romney. I've never heard anyone with similar skills and brain power suggested, and the need is getting greater by the day.

Nation in Peril

I become more concerned with our nation as I see that more people are losing their jobs and their rights, more local businesses are collapsing, more churches are closing and the government is borrowing more money from other countries to pay off a debt that will never end if it continues down the same unsuccessful path. What do these actions say about our nation's current leader and administration? It tells me that his agenda is not for the heart of America.

The news has recently revealed that Walgreen's had to pull a product (Chia Obama) from its stores due to its racial reference and a local student at a school in Oregon was banned from wearing an Obama mask during his dance performance. Am I to understand that it is wrong for there to be any images that are Obama-like for the public to see? Is Obama an almighty deity? If a person (regardless of nationality, race, etc.) is in the public eye, then they will always be under scrutiny or publicized in some way. It's a part of the job criteria.

Why has our nation become so politically correct? Americans are being restricted in so many ways (no smoking in restaurants, no smoking in cars with children, etc.) that soon Americans will stop breathing. Yes, smoking is a hazard, but so is the government's stronghold on the lifeblood of the American people. What's next? Is the government going to take away our right to our faith?

Our nation prohibits Americans from wearing an Obama mask, while perverted men are being elected to office. The Mayor of Portland has recently admitted to committing a sexual crime and the Justice System swept it under the rug. The Mayor of Silverton is an active Transvestite and is constantly around children and the media is planning a Reality TV Show centered around his platform. Have our leaders gone completely mad? Have the people of this great nation forgotten the difference between right and wrong?

The United States of America should be a country that is virtually debt-free, where our dollar is greater than anywhere else in the world, where other countries are coming to us to borrow money and where the freedom to speak your mind and express your faith is not on the verge of being condemned.

I was ready to see Mitt Romney take the Republican lead and stand face to face with Obama in 2008. I will support Romney's candidacy in 2012, because I know that his track record proves that he has the heart of America at the forefront of his agenda. Until then, I will continually pray that (by God's dear grace) our current leaders (with their liberal ideals) don't screw things up even further!

Marxism

Dear Mr. Romney,

I am a former Reagan Republican who has been alienated and disgusted by the Republican leadership over the last several years. I have spent time in Communist Russia, and know where the country is headed. The central controlled economy is no less destructive when it is voted in.

Whereas Reagan bankrupted the Soviet Union and introduced capitalism and democracy, the Bush administration has bankrupted America and sold out the country to Marxism. We can reflect on all of the soldiers who have died trying to keep Communism out of other countries, but we have no Republican or other political leadership that can articulate the consequences of a Marxist style government controlled economy or the advantages of the American free enterprise capitalist system, both in standard of living, personal freedom and the pursuit of happiness. Unfortunately, the electorate has never learned this in school and has never experienced it for themselves.

The Democrats and Republicans have brought down the economy by encouraging bad mortgage loans and allowing them to be passed on to unsuspecting investors. This should be considered fraud, but is now legal. By removing all of the legal trading restrictions and margin requirements, together with absent enforcement of other financial regulations or laws has created a corporate environment conducive to excesses and corruption. There has been a tacit directive from the executive branch to not enforce these laws concerning financial speculation or immigration. This has created animosity towards executives due to their excesses, and the destruction of retirement and savings accounts of workers caused by the corporate corruption and bankruptcies.

In addition, the irresponsible Bush Republicans have destroyed the light manufacturing base employing non union workers that was a major component of the Southern rural economy and some midwest regions. The influx of illegal Mexicans now precludes Americans from taking most jobs as construction workers, grounds maintenance or other entry-level positions. We have transferred the workers wealth to the Chinese communists and American business owners. This has destroyed the opportunity economy for Americans that previously allowed a person to earn a respectable living without inheriting large sums of money or being treated to an Ivy League education.

By paying off only the corporate contributors, and not the voters, the Bush Republicans have destroyed a major group of voters who supported the Reagan Republican Party. Karl Marx stated that capitalist greed would impoverish the workers, and only a large and successful middle-class would serve as a bulwark against communism. By destruction of the middle class, creating class animosity and destroying the banks through unrestricted financial betting without collateral, the Bush Republicans have delivered the country into the hands of a group of confirmed Marxists.

The present administration has no interest in economic prosperity only perpetuation of a one party autocratic rule and they are using the standard Marxist revolutionary playbook for takeover of a democracy. 1) Make >50% dependent on handouts and take them off the tax roles. 2) Citizenship for millions of illegal Mexicans, i.e., the same illiterate peasants who kept the Peoples Revolutionary Party in power for 80 years in Mexico. 3) Silence all opposition media. 4) Take away gun ownership. 5) Then really tighten the screws.

This country is worth fighting for, and unless some Republican leaders emerge who can address what has been done wrong and lead a movement to correct the gross mistakes of the past and the disasters that will be forthcoming from laws proposed by the current rulers, the peasants who cling to their religion and guns might be forced exercise these privileges before they are taken away.

I urge you to stay in the game and define the consequences of Marxist central control compared to free enterprise capitalism to a largely uninformed electorate. It is too late to vote down the current disastrous spending bills, so called “fairness” doctrine, “cap and trade” insanity and “open election” unionization bill as well as the unconstitutional takings bill to block the executive bonuses that were contracted with the company by the federal government, but we have no national figure that appears to care.

Sincerely,

James Parker

An Uphill Battle

Mitt Romney may make another run for the Presidency in 4 years. I pray to God he does. What are we doing with lawyers and greedy politicians leading this country through the worst economic times in recent history? We need smart, honest, can-do businessmen - like Romney! When will Americans realize that business is not their enemy; slick, dishonest politicians who want to nationalize and control everything are the enemy of the people. When they control your purse strings (and your very health) they control you. That time is fast approaching.

Get vocal, America! Speak up, plain and clear, for economic freedom and responsibility, and for political honesty and democracy! Or we could lose it all in just four years.

Afraid of where we are headed

I am really afraid of where our country is headed. I don't understand why anyone feels they deserve a handout or a bailout? What about the millions of people who were financially responsible and the companies who managed their assets appropirately? What is this administration thinking? He has children. Isn't he concerned about their future? I am afraid for my children.

We are putting future generations into debt so deep that there is no way they can recover!

I do not have a lot of money. I make a living wage. I do not expect anyone to step in and "help me out" when I get into trouble. I expect to work harder and look for solutions to my own problems.

I cannot wait to support Mitt Romney in the next Presidential election. I just hope that the country does not sink so low before then that there is no hope for recovery.

Stephen Henning

Mitt Romney is a good man, and a PROVEN CEO and leader. He has PROVEN his ability to turn around foundering organizations and businesses. Of any potential candidate I know of, he is ABSOLUTELY the best person to right the sinking ship that Obama and friends have created. I only hope he does not have to raise our ship all he way from the bottom of the sea.

To have a chance at being elected, however, we need to 1)Ignore the mainstream media, which is nothing but a shameless public relations arm of Obama and company, when they resurrect and fan the fear of LDS and Mormans. We CANNOT let them scare us away from this exceptional candidate. 2)Get over our own fear of the unknown, with respect to Mormons. We have to honor freedom of religion, which our Constitution protects, and not put our blinders on because this candidate's church has a different theology than ours.

The FACT is, the Mormons I know are VERY FINE people, with strong, demonstrated commitment to family, church, community, and country. They value education, work hard, pay their taxes and do not hang out with known terrorists, who are free only due to technical errors on the part of criminal investigators. They SHARE THE VALUES held by all true Americans.

If hardworking, freedom loving Americans get behind Mitt Romney, we WILL take the White House away from Jimmy Carter, Jr. Let's start building support for Mitt, starting today...

The Path to a Reborn GOP

In 2012, America will reject the populist and preachy Huckabee (whose tv show will have long since been cancelled for lousy ratings), and will reject the still unseasoned after four years, Palin (who will lose her second term election) ... and will cry out for the talents and leadership of a true world-class executive and intellect, by nominating Gov. Mitt Romney. Gov. Romney will have raised more money and garnered more endorsements than Huckabee and Palin combined, and as Reagain took the nomination after losing to Ford, and as McCain took the nomination after losing to Bush, so Mitt will have earned the allegiance of the party elite and insiders, after paying his dues with his loss to McCain last year. As Huckabee and Palin flounder in their losing endeavors, Gov Romney will be burnishing his credentials and his understanding of the serious policy issues facing our Federal government, while strengthening his formidable grass roots campaign, and raising monies for the party. Romney will be credited with leading the HUGE midterm takeover by the GOP in 2010, and will have earned the respect and allegiance of a substantial number of Congressman and Senators who will have been aided by his fundraising on their behalf. As well, Gov. Romney will use the next four years to work with conservative think tanks in developing serious and well considered policies which will allow our our nation to address the problems left by the failed record of the Obama adminsitration.

Different Solutions

Romney fixed the Olympics by looking at the financials, and then letting everyone know that the free lunches were over.

Obama came in, and since he wouldn't know what a financial statement looked like if he saw one, simply declared that we'll fix the problem with more free lunches!

I'll take real Business Experience over Community Organizers any day!

For the "Romney, Yea Right" comment, while I couldn't disagree with you more, I want to point out that at least Romney has run something! Compare this man, who has turned around many different failing companies to success to the "Community Organizer." Pelosy and her gang wouldn't stand a chance!
