The stock market is not just for the rich...

Hey! Don't you realize that the majority of retirees make their money from pension plans that rely on the market? Please, the stock market is not just the dominion of the rich. STOP THE CLASS WARFARE! It's unfair.

Where's "the rest of the story", Rick?

Rick, you have neglected to tell the whole story. From the beginning what part did you and your Wall Street and Chicago Exchange cronies play in this mess? Come on people do you really believe this guy who earns his money in stocks & derivates really cares about you and your neighbor?

Wake up, America! His rant was a plant spear headed by the Koch family. Who are they? They are multi billion dollar owners of one of the largest private corporations in America. What do they do? They’re into commodities trading, petroleum, chemicals technology equipment, ranching, securities, finance, etc. Get the picture? They don’t give a rat’s patoot about you and your neighbor. They’re using you to protect their millions. Do some research before you let your emotions take over. Geez!

When are we going to start the "Tea Party?"

We can't let our country go down without a fight! Too much blood has been shed in the defense of liberty to allow our country to become communist. These left wing loons must be confronted. Good men and women must speak out in oposition to these traitors. They can not be permitted to destroy the values that this country was founded on. The future of our children and grandchildren rest in our hands. Don't let it be said as it has been said, that we were "cowards" when history called upon us to act.

liberalism

It's time to return to traditional values, and reward those who are inclined to take care of themselves, rather than rely on a government handout.

Thank God

Thank God we still have our Freedom of Speech! Thanks Rick!

I agree with Rick!

James, thanks for the quick brief. I agree with Rick as do many, many more! Thank you Rick for being vocal and standing on your two feet in the spotlight despite the criticism that is so easily passed around from those who are lazy, idle, and ask for more from our corrupt, liberal, self-appeasing politicians!

Rick Santelli

We need to support this guy all we can. I do not know how to directly address him so hope you will do this guy right.

Dick of TX @ Feb 26, 2009 16:19:33 PM

RICK you are right. The liberals will try to say you are a lot of things but you speak the truth

I agree! As an immigrant that has come here in 1994 I had to work 2 jobs to pay for college. And I had to sit in class with kids that had it all paid for from the government that could not understand what 2/4 meant. I have bought a house, went to medical school while all my college friends still sit around, smoke weed and talk how the rich should be taxed because they should give back to the society that made them rich.

I am not rich hell I am poor making 55K with a wife and baby due soon but none should be punished for their success and hard work. What Obama wants to do is unsafe, unsound and UNAMERICAN

Bernanke, Please Retire. Santelli for President

My 401K is way down in value. Will someone please give me money, because I need to be made whole.

I cannot believe Bernake made the spurious compairison between refusing to save your neighbor's house burning down, and refusing to save your neighbor from a bad investment decision. One is a serious hazard to life and health, the other, a financial setback. Where does it say in the Constitution that every American will be placed in a home by the government even if they cannot afford it?

I'm a Democrat, but I cannot follow them down this course; with this mortgage blunder, they are well on the way to creating a nation of whining puppies looking for handouts.

Nadine for America of CT @ Feb 25, 2009 08:25:35 AM

Right On, Rick!

The whole nature of the bailout focuses on lack of accountability. I can't wait to teach my 3 kids the value of accountability in America. Bury your values, responsibilities and priorities and your state and Uncle Sam will subsidize your screw-ups! Nice concept, perhaps I can persuade my children to walk around with their hand's out instead! Stop the free rides, and learn that actions have consequences good or bad. It is called resiliency. Thank god for Rick!
