Why Obama is Causing a Liberal Freakout

Ass Sphincter Says What?

This from the same rightwing hack who predicted a McCain victory three months ago. Who cares anymore? Here's to Obama and Jan. 20th!

Liberals

Obama is another Chicago politician who fooled the American electorate. He is the most naive, inexperienced, illprepared candidate ever to seek the Presidency. He was elected by promising grandiose social programs and telling Americans that he would pay their mortgages, provide free health care, pay their credit cards and college tuition, and give them a tax break although they do not pay taxes. This is nothing but expanded welfare.

Truth is a stubborn thing............

It's absolutly no surprise that the left-wing Messiah is back-tracking on much of his "Hope and Change" message from the campaign. But what's the problem? You actually expected something concrete from his feel-good, bumper-sticker philosohy? There's a good reason why Brother Obama avoided the specifics of how me might implement his promises. The Presidency is no place for pie-in-the-sky ideas about making the US another socialist workers' and farmers' paradise and Obama is smart enough to understand that. So....stand on the corner, waiving your signs and wringing your hands over the "illegal" war, over global warming, over the US as a "torture nation", over income inequality, over gay marriage, over a Woman's "Right" to kill her baby, and all the other BS causes you people love to cry about. And while you're standing out there, ponder the cynicism with which M. Hussein Obama reeled you in just long enough to get your votes before tossing the cold water of reality in your faces. Too bad......I'll bet you really thought this guy was going to take you Paradise!

As one who voted for John McCain in large measure because ...

.... I was afraid that Barack Obama, if elected, would govern as a looney-leftist moonbat, I must say that I am extremely relieved by what I have seen from our new president so far. It certainly seems as if, far from being the leftist ideologue that the moveon.org idiots so desperately wanted, Obama intends to govern from the center and will be guided by common sense rather than ideology in crafting policy positions.

At the end of the day, that's why I was supporting McCain. While also impressed with his strength and courageousness both as a POW and as a Senator (I just love the way he tweaks the Neanderthal Right's noses all the time), McCain impressed me as someone who could work with the other party to find mutually-acceptable solutions to problems without giving a rat's a$$ about "betraying the conservative movement". That's what I wanted: A moderate who could capture the broad political center in this country in order to get things done while telling both the Rush Limbaughs and Keith Olbermanns of the world to go **** themselves.

Fortunately for the country, Obama seems to be equally un-concerned about mollifying the radical left wing of his party. I really hated to see him knuckle under on his original choice for CIA director because the left-wing blogosphere didn't like him, especially since he chose Leon Panetta (Leon Panetta???) to replace him. But all in all, I am very encouraged so far by what I have seen from Mr. Obama.

You "Conservatives" are a hoot...

Keep up the doom and gloom apocalyptic "prophecies," guys. Better yet, why don't you put your money where your mouth is and move out of the country since America will be a "socialist state" soon. Yep, get out of this red (i.e., commie) country post haste. I promise you won't be missed...

Shovel Ready

The only thing " shovel ready " is Congress.

Liars rule Washington

Notice the show coming on called "Lie to Me"? This will be an effort to allow lying as being politically correct. Everyone does it, right? Wrong. But they want us all to accept lying in order to tear down the moral fabric of this nation. The CONstitution is just a piece of paper by some old dudes of long ago that must be reinterpreted on a daily basis according to ones feelings at the time, right?

We have no leadership anymore, as the left is consumed with image over substance, utopia over reality, hence global warming b.s., the next bubble to blow up bigger than all the ones before. Obama 4 and OUT!

He could lose it all - Gutting Intelligence

Obama made remarkably sensible cabinet choices, but he is gambling dangerously with an inexperienced pick at CIA, and picks at the Justice department who may further cripple intelligence gathering. He may be gambling that since 9/11 the American people have gotten bored with the tough defense George Bush put forth, and may have become more Europeanized...that is willing to accept another 9/11 or two, and shrug it off as the price of making Moveon.org and the ACLU happy. I don't think the American people have sunk anywhere near low enough to forgive a President, that knowing the danger, allows their fellow citizens to be slaughtered to make ACLU lawyers feel warm and fuzzy. If I'm right a successful terrorist attack could destroy his Presidency.

Sour Grapes

Wow people, relax. I didn't even vote for Obama, but he's been picked and we should get behind him. This discussion and article are so negative. Give him a chance.

Karen of NH @ Jan 12, 2009 18:30:45 PM

The office of president just aint that powerful

Obama is probably being swept up by the tide, making each 'decision' as he must, because the choice is not between good and evil as you suppose - it is merely between the devil and the deep blue sea
