Retching Wretches?

"Let the wretching begin, Daily Kossacks."

I feel wretched having to point out to the author that there's no such word as "wretching."

CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN?

Obama is an empty suit and his Change We Can Believe In is a total joke. The joke is really on all those suckers who voted for his phony change and really thought he was something other than another Chicago gangster community organizer. Hang on suckers thanks to the MSM we are in for a long socialist ride for the next 4 years with no change in sight.

Duplicitious

The voters had their blinders on during this election. They hated Bush so much they were smitten by the smooth talking empty suit. Obama is duplicitous and he avoids controversy. After the honeymoon is over the voters may wake up horrified to see what they crawled into bed with.

Doesn't matter

Obama is an Usurper. He IS NOT a natural-born US Citizen. So any bills he signs will not be legal, nor any appointments he makes valid. There will be a civil war.

http://newswithviews.com/Vieira/edwin84.htm

The Usurper has to walk a fine line. What if he orders the military to move the terrorists out of git-mo and they say "NO"? In order to give orders to the Military, he has to be the Commander in Chief. So any military officer can force the Usurper to produce his Birth Certificate when he is Court-Martialed for dis-obeying a direct order. Military Officers DO NOT have to obey an Illegal Order. Any order given by Obama the Usurper would not be a valid order, unles he could produce a valid birth certificate. If he could do that he would NOT have produced a forged birth certificate when he ran for the Senate.

So far he has dodged this issue in the courts by getting Democratic Judges to dismiss the cases. He won't be able to do that at a Military Court Martial.

The disastrous Clinton years?

Of all the lies the left gets away with, perhaps the biggest whopper of all is the amount of the 'surplus' when Clinton left office. This figure seems to get bigger with each telling, and has now reached $5.5 trillion, lol. If you will check the actual statistics, you will find that Clinton, with the prodding of a republican congress, ran a SLIGHT surplus (on the order of $20 billion/year in a 3+ trillion dollar annual budget) for TWO years, 1998-1999...at that time, there was a tremendous tech boom (largely fueled by new technology, the internet)...any idiot, even obama, could have done the same. I know you leftists can't tell the truth to save your miserable lives, but please, don't take us for such idiots as to believe that Clinton parted the waters, saved all the stray dogs and cats, and made all the fountains run with Crystal!

The disastrous Clinton Years?

Only a conservative Republican with ADD would call Clinton's years a disaster. The Clinton years were as follows:

The greatest economic expansion in history.

The lowest unemployment in 40 years.

Elimination of the deficit.

A balanced budget.

A $5 1/2 trillon budget surplus when he left office that Bush blew in less than 3 years, something Paul Volker said was "mind boggling".

Republican economic policy is an oxymoron carried about by economic morons every chance they get. Obama is no bargain. He has no policy on anything. I dont even think he knows what a policy is if its not insurance. But if this Bush in Democrats clothing can come anywhere near Clinton's unrivaled economic success (listening to that commentor suck his thumb over "corruption" was pretty funny) the country will be in pretty good shape.

Obama will govern from the left

Obama will govern from the left, with eyes clearly set on a left agenda. As a former Democrat, I'm not fooled. Key to the left agenda of the Obama administration will be the cultivation of a false centrist image. Minor squabbling among liberals and Democrats will be shadow-boxing, and columns such as this by James Pethokoukis are window dressing.

The projection of a centrist veneer is very important for the success of Obama's left agenda - watch the battles over the next four years over judicial appointments, pro-life issues, expansion of government, heavy taxation for government health care, heavy taxes for counter-productive environmental initiatives, card check to boost union power, "fairness doctrine," benefits for illegal aliens, and retreat in the war against Islamic terrorism.

The liberal media elite has a heavy investment in the success of the left agenda, and therefore are deeply committed to promoting the false centrist image. From a mathematical point of view, Obama, Pelosi, and Reid don't need Republican votes in congress. They can pass anything they want. But from a political point of view, they seek to benefit from frightened and weak-knee Republicans just enough to stamp "bipartisan" and "moderate" and "centrist" on the key planks of the left agenda.

All about The One

Let the liberals freak. I'll sit back with a cocktail and LMMFAO. They are that arrogant, full of hubris, willing to believe that this career hyper-politician is doing this for THEIR AGENDA?? What a bunch of pathetic jokers. BHO is all about BHO, and he's not about to screw the whole thing up instituting that policies of the loony left. Yeah, idiots, he used you, like a drunk coed at a frat party. It's the next morning, he's gone, didn't leave a note, and won't be calling you. I friggin' love it!!.....

Liberal hypocrisy

For years the vile left-wing liberals, their lackey media, and many prominent elected politicians have called Bush every every name in the book. Now that Obama has lied and pandered his way into office, suddenly it's unpatriotic to badmouth the POTUS! You gotta just love a double-standard, two-faced left-wing liberal. These morons probably don't even see irony.

I wouldn't be counting them chickens......

Dear Sir,

It's true that Obama's rhetoric to this point have been less leftist then many of his followers expected. His selections to the top positions in government have also reflected a more centrist approach. Still, I believe that we will see a very different approach to government from this man, but an approach that reflects his personal traits: caution, perseverance, and a focus on achieving tangible results. Obama is a student of history and he understand that none of his greater plans are achievable while the economy is in the rotten place that it is at today. Most pundits and analysts agree that it will take at least another year to stabilize this sinking ship whose once solid foundation has been worn thin by years of mismanagement (by both Republican and Democratic administrations). Thus, many of the ambitious domestic reforms will have to wait. Instead, Obama will focus on stabilizing the economy and restoring America's standing in the world. In today's globalized society economics and foreign policy are directly interconnected and Obama's next term will see the rise of a new world order that will reflect the reality of a new decade. A reality in which China, Brazil, and India will have a bigger say in economic deliberations; a reality in which old military challenges will fade and new ones will have to be addressed; a reality in which climate change will become ever more pressing. This will be the focus of Barack Obama's first term - a more internationalist foreign agenda in tangent with an economic recovery plan. But rest assured James Pethokoukis, change is coming in this country and it will tilt our nation to the direction of the new generation: a gradual and definite tilt to the direction of the setting sun.
