Palin Speech: Sarah America vs. Sarah Barracuda

Back to blog

Sarah Barracuda?

I imagine the media will now be the attack dog to go after Sara Palin so the clean-cut Obama doesn't get his fingers dirty, but really! No experience? Lack of experience doesn't seem to stop Obama's claim to be "ready for the hot seat". When was the last time Obama turned people in for corruption regardless of party affiliation? Never!

I think ANYBODY that can raise 5 kids, run a state as huge as Alaska and do so with a spouse working shift work in the oil fields is ready for ANY office, including President!

Likes heavy metal music? Cool! (I hate it myself, but more power to her!) An unwed daughter who's pregnant? So what, sounds like the same issue us "great unwashed" go thru in life. Lifelong member of the NRA? Big deal! Last time I checked, it wasn't NRA members going around killing people with guns, it's criminals. Her audacity to actually hunt big game to put food on the table? Next time you buy a hunk of cow flesh, consider which animal had a crueler life, that cow or her moose...

Drill more oil, build more nuke plants and install more wind turbines are the only way for this country to get out of this mess. Anything else is just gravey.

McCain/Palin has my vote!

How hypocritical that liberals question whether Palin has the experience necessary to lead, but never stopped and asked themselves the same question about their current party's standardbearer. But what do we expect?

And Obama made a wise decision? Looks to me he validated the Bush/Cheney model.

Chris of AZ @ Sep 05, 2008 01:52:28 AM

What leads anyone to believe this woman is anywhere near qualified for such a position? McCain is no spring chicken this is a fact.

So if he were to pass away as President we settle for a Republican puppet in the form of Palin? I dont think so!

This is a ludacrous choice for a running mate. Made in desperation by a party perfectly aware of the Lions they are up against.

Obama has made a wise decision and the Republicans counter with this? These Political hacks should be ashamed of themselves as if the Bush administration hasnt done enough to taint the Republican image this shallow manipulative move will only go down in history as such.

Palin is about as qualified to be vice president of this country(in its current state) as Ronald McDonald is playing CEO General Motors.

Please people this is ridiculous. A desperate move by a desperate party. Lets not allow them to fool us for a 3rd time for Gods sake.

Managerial Skills

Obama sifted through his resumes and picked the best qualified person. McCain picked the one with the nicest rear end.

James,

You're exhibiting that elitism that so many in the Beltway and in the media are exhibiting. You don't need policy proposals at what is basically a love fest for partisan hacks. Wait until the debates to see them put out concrete policy proposals.

Sarah Barracuda

I for one was happy to see Sarah Barracuda last night. Sarah Palin had been getting completely hammered by the media. Campbell Brown, who previously more or less dismissed the aptitude of small-town America, even had nice things to say about Sarah Barracuda. There is a time and a place for toughness, and last night was the time and place.

In an unrelated comment about the clueless media elite at CNN- They may be unfamiliar with country music, but the Obama team was familiar enough to play Brooks & Dunn's "Only in America" after his acceptance speech. Republican or Democrat- I guess we all love country music!

American women are smarter than this...

Palin is doing exactly what she was chosen to do. Strut around acting like the tough woman Conservatives believe American women want to be.

However theres a slight problem here. We see right through it. A farce is a farce no two ways about it. The odds of this woman assisting the Republican party in gaining the female vote due to Palins existence are slim to none. Why you ask?

Because McCain is the Presidential candidate and Palin simply the Vice. The women of America arent ignorant. They know damn well this woman isnt anywhere near qualified enough to be vice president let alone president if McCain at 73 has problems.

Sure you'll have a few Stepford wives running to the polls on the republican ticket due to Palin of course. Not near enough to make a difference though. Women can see right through women its as if they have xray vision when it comes to another womans motives.

Palin and the Republicans are fooling no one. This is the biggest joke since Bush juniors second presidential "win". Nice try but dont count on the middle or lower class vote Palin. You arent their type and your certainly not near enough of a salve to sooth the wound who is youre running mate(McCain).

Kittens are cute yes however if theyre in the yard cuddling up an old grumbling pitbull their cuteness wears off REAL quick. Best of luck with this utterly hilarious tactic.

Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy

What's one to do? You know the VP is not setting the policy. All I heard for five days is she needs to define herself, she needs to introduce herself, and on and on and on. She stood up told America who she is and of course that wasn't enough for you pinheads.

A better use of your so called writing skills would be to compare and contrast the two VP speeches. I for one loved her speech and she was spot on. All you Monday morning quarterbacks that would never put their name on a ballot are always throwing stones at every opportunity. Every wonder why the sales are down? No, not at all too busy living in the ivory tower.

As far as the middle class, the middle class has never been better off than it is today. Yes, there are some that have taken advantage of the system and others that have made some poor decisions and are in trouble, but for the most part the middle class is just fine. By the way, what do you consider middle class - 20k a year, 50k a year, 100k a year, or what?

Middle class - the poor - the rich you have to love these terms. Someone making 10k a years thinks the person making 50k is rich, who thinks the person making 200k is rich. Someone please show me the rules so I know what I am. All I know is I work hard, don't rely on anyone to give me a thing and I'm doing just fine.

Proud to be an American and living in a country that provides endless opportunities "if" you are willing to work for it.

liberal stalker

Who is this mystery liberal puking up these incoherent comments? Afraid to provide even a pseudonym? These aren't even Democratic talking points-just midless drivel. What's the matter, too much pepper spray at the rally?

Jimmy starts to get a clue

Well, perhaps there is SOME hope for you Jimmy. You're beginning to notice the Sarah Barracuda thing. It was on stunning, and very catty, display last night. And that's all there is to this woman.

There is no Sarah America. Never was, but this character you're so happy about likely WILL climb right into bed with Kudlow----and for that matter, Grover Norquist, too , for the corporate fleecing of every citizen in America.
