My favorite line in that little blog was "No Sarah Palin." Ha. Ha. Ha.

A pro-life pick is a MUST

It would be a huge mistake for Senator McCain to pick a running mate who would take votes away from him and there are a lot of pro-lifers out there.

Mark Sanford, Bobby Jindal, Rep. Eric Cantor and Rob Portman, Rep. John Kasich for VP would be great pro-lifers, and conservative in many other ways, as well, but Duncan Hunter would be my favorite (and might help McCain in California).

Mitt Romney as Veep

I have always believed that John McCain should put

Mitt Romney in as vp. He is a really good man. I am an evangeical Christian, but that doesn't mean an evangelical is right for the job. I think he has calmness, wisdom, intelligence and integrity that could really keep this country in good shape. God forbid if something happens to John, I think Mitt Romney could really fill the bill. and make this country go forward in a positive way. We are here to save our nation, not change it into a Mormon Synod.

Thanks Jackie

PS. I told McCain, I would give more if Romney is vp.

"folks who should know a little something"

Who are these "folks"? From what I've read, there are a grand total of five people (at most) in the McCain camp who know the shortlist, and one of them is McCain himself. Everything else from any "inside source" is just specualation based on who people in the party machinery are talking about. Sarah Palin, Fred Smith, Meg Whitman, and any number of other people could well be on the shortlist; while I would guess that Romeney is probably not there at this point based on how he polls.

So, unless your sources happen to be AB Culvahouse, Charlie Black, or John McCain, there's not much of a story here.

The plan is bait and switch

If McCain can dupe Obama into naming a man first, he will then name a woman. Let's hope Barack is not this dumb. If Barack has to go first, he needs Hillary as innoculation against the whole Dem side being tricked by a Republican womanizer turned faux feminist at the last minute.

Most of us don't count, by the way. The whole race is in Mighigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
